The State Fair..... What Fun!!!

We went to the state fair a week or so ago and it was so much fun. Eli had a blast looking at all the animals, spending some time with Grandpa and Grandma Hatch and Uncle Justin and Aunt Heather.

Look how hot Eli looks in Grandma's Sunglasses!

Eli was kind of scared of this robot dude. I'm not really even sure what his name is. But he thought he was pretty cool once he got to touch him and the robot guy was talking to him.

Eli and Aunt Heather fitting right in on the farm yard!

Eli and Momma!

So I have lived in farm country my entire life and I have seen plenty of animals in my life, but I can honestly tell you that I never seen an animal this big. This cow, named "big red", was the largest animal I have ever seen. He was easily as tall as I was at he was just GINORMOUS.

Eli standing in front of a pack goat.

I have decided that they drug their calves, which is kinda sad if you think about it. Eli was petting the Calf and seemed to like it. But I was kind of sad because the Calf was so still. It didn't even move and I have never seen a calf just lay there lifeless.

Cousins in Delta...

We spent the weekend in Delta a few weeks ago and I thought I would just post a few pictures of Eli spending some time with his cousins. Dan and Melissa were out from North Carolina to go to Grandma J's funeral so Eli got to meet Sadie, as well as his cousins Casey, Megan and Alex. And his Uncle Dan and Aunt Melissa. It was really fun to get to spend some time with the family.

Sadie Nielsen, She is about 2 months older then Eli. This trip was actually the first time that I had gotten a chance to meet her. She is such a cutie. We celebrated her birthday while she was out visiting Utah.

Okay, Okay, so I know this looks bad. Eli already getting a little fresh with the ladies. But this is his cousin Catliyn (That almost makes it worse). But I thought these pictures were pretty cute. Catliyn is 6 weeks younger then Eli, so he is lucky to have to cousins that are really close to his own age.

This is Liam. Doesn't he look like he is enjoying this Popsicle?

Megan, Casey, Brennan, and Elise all holding on to the little puppies. It was such a fun weekend with the family. The barbecues in the backyard, the fun games at night, and enjoying the company of family.

Alex and Austin at Grandma J's funeral. Don't they look so handsome?

Sleepyhead.....

So I always see these funny, cute pictures of children falling asleep why they are eating. I even have a super funny one of me when I was a little girl falling asleep on a whole plate of food. Well now I can say that I have a pretty super cute one of my own. Eli must have been really tuckered out because he is a great eater. But the other day I just couldn't keep him awake long enough to finish eating. He is such a cute boy boy. We kinda were being mean a little because we startled him a couple times to get him falling asleep on the video. But it didn't really change the outcome much. He still stayed out cold.

Where's the Money?

Where in trouble if it is starting already. I thought that they don't start taking all your money and going through your wallet until they hit teenage years. Eli has learned at a really young age where the money is at. I think these pictures are so cute. Matt's wallet was sitting on the ground, he crawled over and just started emptying it, like he knew exactly what he was doing. First he pulled out all the cards, and then he went straight for the change... He soon realized there was not much there. Eli has such a curious mind and I love every minute of it. There is never a dull moment around our house. I just hope that his curiousity and his inquizitive mind stay a part of who he is. So there you have it everybody, it isn't just the teenagers taking all your money anymore these days.

Toe Licker

Nuff Said'....

So... I was tagged again...

So, I was tagged by Janis a while ago and I just keep forgetting to do it. So here it goes.

My Name...
Well it is Joni. I will do my best to find a photo to represent this, but it is pretty unique so I will see what I can come up with.

Where was I born...
The coolest in place on earth... Delta, UT

FAVORITE COLOR...
Yellow and Blue

FAVORITE CITY...
Well, this is really sad. I don't really have one because I have not really been anywhere. I really do love where I live at the moment and I could see myself making a life here, but I really don't know. American Fork would be my favorite for the time being. But Washington is somewhere that I really want to go visit and I feel that I could really love that one to.

PLACE I WANT TO VISIT...

I live a very sheltered life.... at least when it comes to traveling. But there is one place that I have always wanted to visit, and hopefully I will get the opportunity to before I die. The image of seeing all that wildlife in their naturally habitat.

BAD HABIT...
I bite my nails horrible bad. I honestly think that I do it in my sleep. Its crazy bad.

FAVORITE ANIMAL...
Well I love lots and lots of animals, but dogs have always and always will be my favorite. There are so many pretty breeds out there. Lilly is my favorite though. She is my little puppy, but just recently she had puppies of her own and they certainly are very pretty and fun as well.

PAST LOVE...
Well, this one is even more sad then my favorite city, or place that I would like to visit. My life is very boring and sheltered. One of my past loves is actually playing saxophone in the band and hanging out with my band nerd friends. And also singing with Bone Voce and going on bus trips.

FIRST JOB...
The Good Old Delta Pizza House

CURRENT JOB...
The best job in the world. Being a mommy to my Cutie little boy Eli.

Rain, Rain, go away....Just Kidding

Daddy and Eli playing in the rain

The other day was the best rainstorm that we have had in a long time. Since Matt and I both love playing in the rain, we figured it was time to give our son his first taste of dancing in the rain. This particular rain storm was a great one for him to have this experience with. He loved the rain. Him and daddy just played in the rain and enjoyed it to its fullest.

Look how cute he looks

Hope you all enjoy this little clip of my boys playing in the rain.

The Proper Way To Do The Dishes!!!

Eli helping his mommy do the dishes

So the older Eli gets, the more I realize how hard it is to do things with young children at home. I don't know if any of you have ever watched Jon and Kate plus 8, but I gotta tell you, I have some serious respect for those parents. I can't even imagine having 6 ten month old's at the same time. It would be so hard. So anyways, back to were this picture came from. I was trying to do the dishes and just get caught up on a few things and Eli just was not having that. He wanted to play right now. Which is okay with me. Normally I would just stop doing what I was doing and play with him, but we were leaving for the weekend and I really wanted to get a few things done before we left, so I decided to have Eli help me do the dishes. It kept him entertained the whole time I did the dishes, it was great. He had fun helping me and I got the dishes done. I killed to birds with one stone. So anyways, I hope you enjoy our short little video clip of Eli's first taste of doing the dishes.

Isn't he such a cutie pie

The Grasshopper!!!

Staring it down!!!

I'm very glad to know that my son is all boy. The other day we were out in the garden pulling some weeds and we caught the biggest grasshopper I had ever seen. So I thought for sure that Eli would freak out when it jumped, but as you will later see in the video.... he did the exact opposite. He was so intrigued by it. No matter where we put it, Eli was trying so hard to catch it. Even when we put in on his head, he was a little concerned because he could feel it and he knew it was there, but he couldn't find it. Why we were out there, we also caught a brown worm, a caterpillar, and a praying mantis. None of them scared him at all. He was just the most fascinated with the grasshopper. This is why I am making the post about the grasshopper. Each experience with Eli is so much fun. Even the little simple things like finding a grasshopper in the garden. I have never had so much fun with a little bug in my life. Eli's laugh makes it all worth it. I love his laugh.

Eli trying to grab it

Here he is again just being so fascinated with it

The ittsy bitsy grasshopper, jumped up on Eli's leg

Even when he had it on his hand it didn't scare him

I believe I can fly....

This is just one of many, of the funny videos I have of Matt and Eli creating their next "Americas funniest videos" audition tapes. Although I know I am a little bias, I would change the name to "Americas cutest videos". But that's just me.

Our Cute Son!!!

So I have come to the realization that Matt and I would have a very ultimately boring life if it where not for our very adorable little boy. Now I can't call him baby boy any more because he is growing up so fast. He shows lots more emotion in the things that he experiences, he is more opinionated about pretty much everything, he is learning new things every day and he is curious about pretty much everything. But then every once in awhile I catch a picture of him just thinking. He has these really serious "deep thought" moments where I just wish I could jump in his head and see what he is really thinking. And then there are other times when he just relaxes..... holds still long enough to catch a cute picture..... He just finds a comfortable position and honestly just looks like he is relaxing. I love this little boy more then anything. He has brought so much joy and happiness into our little family. I know this post is kinda random and yes... I know.... it is about Eli, as they all are. But ya gotta love him.

"Deep Thoughts"

Just relaxing in my chair!!!
