Ethan LOVES the shower

What more can I say? Ethan thinks the shower is just great. His faces are so funny when the water hits his back. He just gets so relaxed and he is such a cute one. I love those chubby cheeks.

7-Peaks Xango Party

A couple Friday's ago was Matt's Annual Xango Summer Party at 7-peaks. Matt can usually get pretty discounted tickets for the day so we always invite some family to come and join us. It was really fun this year. We had Caren and Lara, Carol and her three girls plus a friend for there birthday, Jill and her two kids, and Aubree with Tommy. It was quite the party this year. Eli was so much braver this year. He went down the really big slids, he plays all over in the water without help or holding a hand. He loves to jump of the walls by himself now. He will go down the littler slids all by himself. He just loves water and this was a really fun day because of that. I also let Ethan get in the water for a little bit. Not to long because I wasn't sure how to really keep him out of the sun, but still keep him warm. He loves the water. He just was so relaxed and loving life.

Grandma Caren holding little Ethan in the water. Doesn't he look so cute.

Tommy and Aubree - Grandma Caren and Ethan. They are just hanging out in the kiddy pool. Eli and Liam loved it in this pool because it was just the right depth for them to play all by them selves.

This is the life.

The splash fountain was definitely one of Eli's favorite places to play as well. I didn't really think that he would love having the water hitting him or splashing him constantly, but he most certainly did. He would love to jump on it and try to stop it.

Janis loved the splash fountain to.

Eli after a long day of playing in the sun. He for sure started slowing down later in the evening. But he hadn't had a nap and he had played really hard all day long. He is just relaxing in the tube.

The party was really fun. At 6pm the park shuts down to the public and it is only open to Xango employees. The food was really good, the entertainment was Okay and the company was splendid. We had so much fun and Matt even won 100$ gift card to REI. Can't complain about that. Eli crashed at about 9 and Ethan had definitely had his fill of sun for the day, so we headed home around that time.

I love these Boys

Karter came over the other day to go swimming with Eli. They had so much fun together. They always do. These to have such a special bond already. They are such good friends. Karter is so good to him and Eli just takes to him. They never argue Karter is so sweet to him. Sure do love you two.
And I sure do love Ethan to. He just is not in any of these pictures.

Eli Wrote his Own Name

I have to have a mommy brag moment for a minute. My 2 year old is the smartest little man alive. He can write his own name. Now seriously, I was kind of just playing around with him, I didn't really think he would do it. But I started writing letters on the white bored and then he said it was his turn. So i would draw a line and then he would copy me. Then I would draw another line and again he would copy me. So then I thought.... now is a good time for him to learn to write his name. So we did it a stroke at a time, but he did write this entirely by himself. Love you Eli, you are so smart. You are two and a half and already starting to write letters.

Seattle Day 9

Today was mostly just spent cleaning up and getting ready to head home. We did go into Seattle for a bit earlier in the morning, but I can't remember exactly what we did so you will just get to see pictures of the fire works.

This is the cutest little Ethan ever. He pretty much slept through all of the fireworks. Did I mention that he is the best baby ever. He is always so good.

Eli loving life with his sparklers. Fireworks in Washington was definitely a different experience for me. It was insane. They do the big fireworks there and they are not illegal. We stayed in the neighborhood for fireworks and I could pretty much turn a 360 degree turn and I would see a different firework show going on no matter what way I faced. It was very cool and there were so many fireworks. I felt like I was in the war zone because of how many fireworks there were and how loud it was surrounding me. They just never stopped. It was a very continuous show.

After all was said and done, at about 10 at night, we took off and headed for Utah. This was one of the funnest trips ever. Thanks again to Missy for being such an amazing host. We could not have done it without you. And thanks to all our new friends that we made on this trip. You are all amazing. Washington truly is an amazing place and very very beautiful. It was a very long trip home. It seemed much longer then the trip there... but isn't that how it always goes. We were very excited to be home.

Seattle Day 8

Today we went to the Dillon's ward breakfast. It was really fun. There was games and there was a bike parade. Eli thought it was great fun. Here are just a few pictures to illustrate some of the fun that we had today.

This is Malcom.

A couple of nights before we left, Missy decided to have a clam bake. It was very fun. I had never been to one before. There was everything except clams. It was the Clammless Clam bake. There was lobster, shrimp, crab, mussels, corn, potates... You name it. It was so much fun.
Eli roasting his very large campfire marshmellow. He thought they were the next best thiing to peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They were so big but it was lots of fun to roast them.

Seattle Day 7

Today we went to the Chititon Locks. They were okay I guess. I thought they were a little bit boring, but they are one of the hot spots to see and most anything that has to do with tourism highly recommends going and seeing them. The locks are were the Puget Sound meets the Pacific ocean. The water levels are about 20 feet different so they have the locks to help boats pass between the two. It was fun to watch.

This is the steps were the Salmon swim upstream.

This is what the locks look like on the outside.

We went to IVAR'S again for lunch... Shocker.... I know . I did mention that Heather and Matt both really loved this place. Well Matt thought it would be fun for him to do a post about it and critique it for his website..... Don't know what ever happened with that. Go check it out Saltlakecityfoodcritics.com
I thought the signs were pretty funny.

Yes, I know, who lets there one and a half month old feed a sea gull. He actually thought it was pretty funny. His daddy just helped him hold it out there and the sea gull came and ate it right out his hand. It was so cute.

The next few pictures are just some really cool pictures that either Matt or I took of the seagulls. they just looked very very cool all lined up.

This is Eli showing off his TWO empty french fry trays that he fed to the Seagulls. I actually think they ate the Fries better then they ate the bread.

This penguin was on the Pier next to IVAR's. We had great fun taking pictures of it.
