Camping.....Interupted!!!!

So I'm not sure what to think anymore about Matt and I's spontaneous camping trips. Some are good, and well some.....get interrupted. We were having so much fun, until about 4 in the morning. It started down pouring. We arn't really afraid of rain and that wasn't really the problem, the reason it turned ugly, is because we were camping in a none restricted area and we had done quite a bit of off roading to get to our campsite. It started to turn muddy really fast. So at about six, we packed up and headed home. What a mess, everything was so wet, but we were really worried that we may not be able to get out. So here are just a few pictures of our weekend adventures.

Isn't this the life? He looks so comfortable.

Say cheese Lara!!!!

He is totally loving life. The great outdoors, a hot dog in hand, and campfire burning.

My cute little family.

I just loved this face.

Whats wrong with this picture?

I don't even know where to begin with these pictures. He was being so silly. He did the socks and the pants on his own, and then I couldn't resist helping him out with the shirt. He thought he was so funny..... and I have to be honest, so did I. Each and every day he gets more personality. I can't keep up with him. And he is also turning into such a tease.

Lara's First Day of School

Lara looked so cute for her first day of school. She has so many cute clothes, I'm jealous. She was very excited for her first day of school and the best part of it is, she was just as excited when she got home. I love it. I think she is set for a good year, or at least a great first semester.

Farm Country

We went and did the two buck Tuesday deal at Thanksgiving point the other day. I advise all to take advantage of this deal. If you have kids of course... because they love it. Anyway, Eli loves animals and he is definitely warming up to getting closer to them.

He even warmed up to the idea of letting the cow eat some food out of his hand. I thought it was very brave of him. It kind of tickles your hand a little. I was surprised that he just giggled instead of crying.

This is Matt and Eli riding the horse drawn trailer.

Lara loves horses, although she is a bit scared of riding them without someone walking beside her.

These are just a few pictures of Eli riding the pony. He loves horses and thought this was about the coolest thing in the world.

We had a way fun day at the farm. We got to see lots of animals and Eli and Lara loved every minute of it.

May Family Reunion

This was the other family reunion that we went to. This is Matt's dad's side of the family. Matt was super excited about this one. He hasn't seen some of these cousins for a few years. As you will see in the pictures, there was lots of sand at both reunions and Eli loved every minute of it.

I just thought this was a cool pictures of Eli playing with his dads hat

Just another cute photo opt

Say cheese!!!!

Eli loving the sand so much. I think we may need to invest in a sand box. He thought it was so much fun.

I don't think that they knew I was taking this picture. This is Matt, his brother Justin, and his sister Heather. I just thought it was a really cute picture of the three of them.

Eli got buried, what do you think?

This is the fort castle that Grandma and Eli made together in the sand

I just have to give a big love to my mother in law Gaye. I don't know to many grandmas that will actually get down in the sand and play with their grandson. Eli just absolutely loves his grandma and she is so good to him.

An off the cuff family picture

Eli LOVES watermelon

Another family picture with Matt's family and Us

Little Family Reunion

Last Saturday we had two family reunions. I love coming from a big family. Anyway, here are just a few pictures of some of the fun that we had.

Matt and Eli playing in the sand.
Just a cute picture of Heather and I.

I love this kid.

Eli and his cute cousin Zander.

Who knew?

I just had to post these pictures because I have never laughed so hard in life. I think that these are the funniest two pictures ever. Matt took Eli to see Madagascar 2 at the dollar theater the other day. Matt got him a little kids meal that had popcorn and a small drink, this kid was in seventh heaven.

The Joys of Fishing....

So we went up to Vivian Park up the Provo Canyon the other day so that we could take Eli fishing. I love this first picture of him and his daddy just sitting by the lake. Precious in a mommy's eyes. Eli really liked fishing. He really wanted to do it all by himself, and he just isn't quite big enough to do that yet. But he did really well at winding it in, after Matt casted it out there.
I can honestly say I never thought I would see an ice cream truck driving around a canyon, but what do you know, I did see one and we couldn't resist getting Eli this very cool Batman ice cream. He loved it.

We found Eli a little spiderman fishing pole that is just his size. Mind you, this trip would have been a whole lot more fun if we had actually caught something, but we definitly had fun all the same.

Eli loves to draw and color all the time. He had filled is little backpack with some books and markers and his paper pad, we took a blanket, spread it out and just enjoyed the beautiful summer day.

This is just another picture of my Boys fishing. Arn't they just the cutest thing ever.

Is there anything cuter?

This picture just makes me so proud as a mommy. My cute little son sitting in his tent, reading a super-hero comic book. It just brings tears to my eyes. He was so fascinated with this comic. I love it.

24th of July...Yeah, I know I'm a little late

How can you not love this face? Seriously, I know he is proud to be an American. This year we spent the 24th of July out to Kearns with Matt's family. We went to the big parade in Salt Lake and had a barbaque at Grandma's and then did some fireworks. Eli loved it all, he is such a trooper and he just has so much fun doing everything.

This is Charlee. One of Eli's friends that lives down the street from Grandma Gaye. She is such a cutie. She thought the fireworks were pretty cool to.

This is my cute niece Makaylee. I just thought this was a really cute picture of her.

I just thought this was a really cute picture. This is how Eli watched fire works most of the night. Doesn't he look so comfortable. He looks so funny all lounged out in his chair.

Eli helping daddy with the fireworks. Eli thought this was about the coolest thing in the world.
