Happy New Year 2013-14

Our new years was so low key this year. I was super super sick. And had no energyl at all. Being 7 months pregnant and having a ridulocus cough and cold and just all around horible feeling, we didnt do much. We still made it fun just low key, quiet and more simple. Grandma and Gavin came to celebrate with us. We played some pictonary, and some twister, a few card games, and had a nice dinner with some fun snacks. We did let the boys stay up as late as they wanted but ultimatly I think I was asleep by about 11:30. Ethan was asleep a little before me and I think Eli and Dad rang in the new year and were both out by about 12:15. We did try, but none of us were feeling all that great. It was fun, it its own quiet simple way.

Happy New Year.... Bring on 2014

Merry Christmas 2013

We love Christmas around here. But honestly, who doesn't love Christmas. The boys are always so excited and they are at such a fun age. With Eli going to school, it is definitely harder to keep the magic of pure innocentance alive. We have had to focus a little more of believing in spirit of Christmas and what it means and the feelings that Christmas and what it represents. Although he does still believe, he is a little skeptical. Ethan on the other hand is all about it. He was sooooo excited for Santa to come visit.

Eli's stuff

Ethans stuff

Handsome Ethan standing by his stuff.

Eli and his new neck pillow. He was so excited because we seem to be in the car a lot, and he can never get comfortable. Hopefully this will help.

Eli and his awesome Lego sets. Did I mention that we have a lot of these. They are definitely the most popular toy around her.

Ethan playing with his cool megablocks.

Ethan got the brother of the year  award for getting Eli the "coolest present ever".

Eli and his solar system set from mom and dad.

Ethan testing out that awesome neck pillow. He was so worn out from waking up so early that I am pretty sure he was taking his first nap of the day by about 10. He was done for. The pillow worked nicely. LOL

Anderson Christmas Eve Party

Another December tradition each year is going to Delta on Christmas Eve. The kids always really look forward to this. There are so many cousins on this side and it is always just a big party. The kids always get to act out the Nativity. This year Grandma did it just a little different. She had puppets for each of the kids and they acted it out this way instead of dressing up. Either way, they still had a blast participating.

Each year I get a picture of the boys with there Grandparents. It will be fun in the future to see these pictures all side by side and see how much they have grown up. I still cant believe how big they are even now. I remember the first picture I ever took like this of Grandma holding Eli when he was only about a month old. Wow, so long ago, yet it really doesn't feel that long ago.
