4th of July

I know we go to Delta every 4th of July, but there really is nothing like it. We always have so much fun and it is  just such a tight nit loving community. No place like home... most of the time. The boys had a blast at the parade. And then doing the many entertaining things at the park. And as always, catching their fish with their bare hands, and a little assistants from daddy of course. Although I think Eli caught his own this year. They sure are squirmy little buggers.

Fishing

Just playing catch up on blogging. I think I am only about two months behind. LOL I will eventually get caught up. I have thought about not blogging, but honestly, when I am not so far behind and I do a little more in depth journalling on the posts, I enjoy having those as a reminder when I get around to making the scrapbook pages about a particular event. And I do have a few faithful followers that I think enjoy reading my blog. Hopefully. So this was the boys fishing a month or so again  down in the provo river. The boys love it, because even though our fish are very small, they ALWAYS catch something, which really is the fun of fishing. They are both getting so big.

Friends

I have this friend, whom I love dearly. We have been friends for pretty much as long as I can remember with her living kiddy corner in my back yard for pretty much my entire childhood. She has since moved to a few different states but when she returns to our home town for visits, we always make sure to get together. It is always so much fun because our kids are fairly close in age, with her having two little girls, and me having two little boys. The kids play so well together and they are so funny. I love her so much and I am glad that our friendship has continued throughout life.

Upstart Graduation

The lighting in this building was horrible but I still got a couple cute ones. So we didn't really do a formal preschool with Eli because honestly, I never felt as if he needed it. He is super bright and well above his grade level in reading and he has very good social skills. So I felt that his time could be better spent home hanging out with his mom. But we did do a State computer program preschool called UPSTART. He only had to be on the computer for 15 minutes a day doing some reading programs, but it had lots of other games and math and reading extras that he could do if he choose to. So it was usually about a half hour a day, but it really did teach him lots and was a fun little supplement to the things I was already doing with him at home. This was his graduation. They had a little diploma and hat and he got to get his award from some of the higher ups in the program.

Men and their Toys

I know I have said it many many times, But I really do think that American Fork library is one of the best libraries in the world. They are so involved and they have sooooo many activities for the kiddos to participate in. And not just reading, but they make reading even more exciting with all the different activities they do around what they are reading. This unit they were working on was all about "digging" into reading. So they did a lot of construction activities, and animals that dig deep into the ground, and well, they just played off the digging them. Well one of the activites they did was to have a construction zone zoo. Back in the parking lot they had ask public works to bring in some of the bigger construction equipment and let the kids play in them and take pictures and ask questions. The boys wanted Grandpa Hatch to be there because he drives big trucks at night and they were sure he would love this kind of stuff. So the boys had a blast checking out all of the construction equipment with Grandpa.

Working at the CARWASH

We have the funnest little neighbor boys. Okay, well we did, the just recently moved and we were super sad about it. But while they were here, the boys said they were bored and asked if they could wash Matt's car. I thought it was a novel idea, so we loaded the big orange bucket up with soapy water and put them to work. They worked on that car for about an hour, having the time of their life.

Love my BOYS

I love my boys sooooo much. Warning to the post.... A little bit of nudity but in a super cute way. The boys were playing out in the backyard and Matt thought it would be funny to turn the sprinkler on on them. It turned into a monster water fight, but for some reason, the particular shorts that Ethan had on would not stay up for nothing once they got wet. He was having a rough time keeping that cute little bum covered, but it sure didn't seem to bother him much.
