Ethan Update

Well mostly just a picture update of this adorable little boy. Here are just a few pictures that I have taken of this charmer over the past little bit. He is such a happy baby and always so smiley.

Shrek went missing.

Shrek went missing. But he was soon found at my house.

Brotherly Love

Future DJ

Eli following in his daddy's footsteps. Matt use to DJ and this is some equipment that his old partner gave to Matt for his birthday. Eli loves it when his dad hooks it up and gets the beats bumpin. But Eli also likes hooking his little head set up to and making his own music. I think Matt took this picture with his phone, so it is nothing great. But I still think it makes for a pretty cute picture.

His first, not family, birthday party.

The day that we moved to our new house, (Pictures and story to come), but anyway, the day that we moved to our new house, Eli had been invited to a friends birthday party, which just happened to be a pool party. I new that I was not going to be able to take him because of the obvious, but Grandma was there to save me, once again. She took Eli up to his birthday party and even snapped me a few pictures with her phone. He had so much fun and was super excited to tell me all about it when he got home. Thanks Grandma for taking him. He would have been super sad if he had had to miss this one.
Eli just waiting for his Cake and Ice Cream.

Eli loves water more then anything. I think he would go swimming daily if possible. So long, daily tubbers have to fill in the gaps, but we sure do love our tub time.

Bailey and Eli hanging out in the water. From what I heard, these two had a super fun time hanging out together. They played really well together and took turns squirting each other.

His new favorite thing.....

Ethan has found a new love. Besides crawling up on anything to get him to his feet so he can cruise around.... he has found a love for pulling the books off the book shelf. Over and over again. And the cutest thing about it is that I will say "no, Ethan" and he will look at me so cute and mischievous and then kind of put on a slightly pouty face and then grab another book ever so slowly and pull it down, Almost as if he is taunting me, what do you think? Do I have trouble on my hands already? I think, yes. But really, how can you stay mad at this face for to long? Seriously one of the cutest boys ever.

My little boys growing up way to fast

Ethan's two little teeth on the bottom are starting to break through. About time, he is 9 months old. But I can't really say that I mind that he is a late bloomer. It makes it nicer for nursing him. Longer that I don't have to worry about him teething and all the joys that come along with that. He has been a trooper. We really have not had many teething problems. He has been so good. Not really a fever, or a runny nose, or really even that much crankyness. He has been super good about it so far. These are the only two that I have felt so far. I will keep you posted if we have any more surprises.

Chicks dig Scars.....

I lived in our old house for almost 5 years and we never had any mis hapes at all. I don't know if it was because our house was just so small that the boys had no room to get in trouble or to get hurt, but regardless, we have lived in our new house for only three weeks and we have had numerous accidents and near traumas. Stitches being one of them. So here is Eli in all his glory showing off his wonderful stitches. He was my little trooper and he was so brave. So more to come later on some of the other almost accidents that we have had the past little bit, and also more to come on our new house. But for now, I will just share our first experience to the insta care and our first emergency experience with Eli. So on February 3rd, Eli had a piece of Ham and Lilly thought that she wanted some as well. So Eli thought it would be a funny game to fun around the table and play keep away from Lilly. All was fine and dandy until he tripped and hit his head on the corner of the Kennel. He started screaming and when he stood up with his hands to his forehead and the blood was dripping down his arms, needless to say, I was more then a little bit scared. I was pretty worried that there was going to be serious head wound underneath all the blood, but...... not so much. Once we did finally get it all cleaned up and get him to calm down, we realized that the cut itself was only about 1/2 inch long but super super super deep. And we all know that head wounds bleed way more then they need to which is why I think I was so scared, but we did get it all taken care of. So we got him cleaned up and Matt was suppose to be leaving for work, but after a quick phone call to his boss, we were good to go for him to help me take the boys into the hospital. We were just going to head into the emergency room for a few stitches to help prevent Eli from having a huge hole in his head, but when we called his nurse at his pediatrician office, she recommended going to the insta care right up the road from us. I was glad that we decided to give her a call instead of just heading into town. So a few dollars later, and lots of scared tears later, and he got to show off his cool stitches and now, he can show of his cool scar. I don't know how mothers of babies who have lots of problems handle it. I was hurting so bad on the inside just watching him be pinned down and hurting a little ( I realize it was not a lot, but he was so scared and there was very little I could actually do for him, but hold his hand and keep telling him what the doctor was doing to him) My heart ached for him. But we were strong and just kept making super hero jokes so that he thought everything was okay and that he was doing awesome. Here are just a few pictures to show from our experience. I didn't have the camera so these were just taken with the phone. Nothing great, but at least they are something.

This was when they put the numbing stuff on the cotton swab and then taped on his head for a bit as a local antiseptic before they used the needle to put in the good stuff. He was really okay with this part, didn't mind it so bad.

This is when it started to get tough. Because of how little he is they had to put him in a Papoose board, which was basically a straight jacket for kids. He had his arms strapped down and then they had to wrap his whole body up so her really couldn't move at all. That was really hard to watch, because that alone scared him as much as anything. He hated not having any control and not being able to see what was going on. They covered all of his face and everything with this cloth so there was just this little hole were the stitches were actually going.

And this is a picture of my brave little boy after they are all done and he is all fixed up. They found him a cool super hero bandaide and he was good to go. All smiles for the most part.

And here are just a few picture of him showing them off. He actually thought they were pretty cool after he talked to his Uncle Justin and his Aunt Heather they all told him how they have had stitches and how girls think that scars are cool. Then he was all good to go. So there you go folks. Our first semi serious emergency experience and it all when down okay.

Atec Sweethearts Ball

About the first week of February, Lara attended the Atec Sweethearts Ball. She seem to have lots of fun, as she always does. I am pretty sure this gal would dance all day long, every day if we would let her. Doesn't she look so pretty in her new dress?

We love Caitlyn and Liam

So Eli asks me probably at least once a week if he can go play with Liam and Caitlyn, and once again we have the conversation about them moving to their new house and living to far away to play. But in dedication to how much he loves his cousin, I thought I would post some pictures of the very last time that I tended them. They had so much fun that day. Don't mind Eli and his very cheeto covered nose. He looks silly in all his pictures. But these three are still seriously super cute. We sure do love you guys and hope all is going well for you.

One of these little boys is 3, which could it be?

Lots of people have done comparison posts about how much there little boys look alike. Well, I just thought I should do one to. I do feel like the boys have some serious similarities and when Ethan was very first born, I felt it was even worse. The older they get, they are definitely two different little boys, both in personality and looks, But I thought I would share a few of my favorite comparisons and let you decide for yourself.
