A fun day at the zoo!!!

We had a great family outing at the zoo today. It never fails that no matter how many times you visit the zoo, you can always find something new or interesting to see. Eli loved it. I was worried that he may be a little young still to really appreciate the animals, but nope. I think that the elephants and rhino's were his favorite. The bigger animals that he was really able to see move around where the ones that kept his attention the longest. As you can see from the pictures, Eli was accompanied by three cute little girls. These are three of his cousins. We were kinda going to celebrate their birthday, as well as just having a fun outing. Everyday with Eli just keeps getting more fun. His personality changes each and everyday and slowly, but too quickly, he is becoming a little boy and loosing the little baby features. I don't know if I am ready for that to happen. People always told me that it would happen like that. They said to me, "Cherish each and every day with him, because he will grow up so quickly." I'm here to tell you that this is beyond the truth. I love Eli and his daddy more then either of them will every understand. I don't think that I tell either of them, well maybe Eli, this nearly often enough.

An Awesome Family Vacation 2008

I have the best family in the world.

I just
returned from a very awesome family vacation. Each year, my entire family goes on a vacation for a few days during the summer. This year our vacation was planned for Goblin Valley and Capital Reef. If you have not yet visited these to parks in Utah, I would highly recommend both of them. It was so beautiful. We hiked "The Grand Wash" in Capital Reef and in Goblin Valley we searched and found a Geo Cache. As you can see from the pictures we did many small hikes and had a lot of fun just spending time with the family. Eli did really well on the hikes. He had the easy part as you can see him take a nap in his back pack during one of the hikes. He was a trooper. Our campsite had a really fun pool and we spent many hours playing around in the water. Eli looks so cute with his cousin Catliyn sitting underneath a rock in Goblin Valley. So this is what our little family has been up to the last couple of days. Hope all is going well for everyone.

Happy 4th of July...

So yes, I know that it is almost the end of July and I am just now getting my 4th of July blog posted. But hey, better late then never as I always say. Eli loved the fireworks. I thought he was going to be more afraid of them, but he was quite into them actually. We spent this 4th with Matt's family in Kearns. It was alright I guess. Nothing like a good old fashion Delta 4th of July though. I'm not going to lie, I really did miss Delta, the small parade, the candy, the park, and most of all... The Derby. We went to the parade in West Jordan to watch Matt's little sister dance in the parade. Later that day we had a barbacue in the backyard and later that evening we watched some fireworks. Eli looked really handsome in his 4th of July outfit. We had to wake him up to go to the parade, so he was a bit upset with us until he woke up enough to realize what we were doing. So Aunt Taylor got Eli a shirt from a tax company, and on the back it said "Tax Deduction." It made matt laugh really hard. But she failed in getting Eli a free lunch at Chuck-a-rama, what are we going to do with her? I hope that everyone had an awesome 4th and that we can always remember why we really celebrate this holiday.

Our Little Boy!!!

A Cruise with the Girls

So hello there bloggers. I just recently started up my blog and I know that it is relativily boring, but give me time, it will get better. I have to tell everyone about this cruise that I just recently got back from. I haven't had this much fun with my sisters in a long time. Just the girls, no men allowed. There was about 14 of us, I think. We went from California, to Catalina Island, to Ensenada, Mexico and a few places in between. The food was amazing. This was the first cruise that I have ever been on and it was so relaxing. One day we went snorkeling, that was a fun expierence because I was swimming with some pretty big fish. The water was really cold, but once you got in and was moving around, you stopped thinking about if you were cold. We also went to Sea World one of the days that we were out and about. I got to feed a dolphin. I have never been that close to a dolpin. They are so slimy, but it was so much fun. All in all, I have to say this trip was one of the best that I have taken in a long time.

About our Family

Matt and I met about 3 years ago. It didn't take us that long to realize that we were meant to be together forever. We only dated for a short four months before we were engaged. Only three months after that we were married. Matt is the love of my life and so many of the things that were missing in my life I found in him. At the time, Matt worked as a technician for Sprint and I was going to UVSC working on my Elementary Education license. About a year after being married, we found out the most exciting news of our lives. We were expecting our first child. Eli Matthew May was born on Nov. 7,2007. He has been the best thing that could happen to us. He has brought so much joy and love to our family and each and every day just keeps getting better. At the present time, Matt is working as an IT Tech for Xango and enjoying every minute of it. I have just recently graduated from UVSC in Elementary Education. For the time being, I am just substituting at different Elementary schools and being an on call CNA at my previous job. But for the majority days, I am at home being a mom to my favorite little boy in the entire world. He is 8 months old now and it seems that every day he is learning something new. Oh how the time flys.
