Seattle Day 6

Today we went to Bremerton. This is where Matt and Heather spent many of their summer months when they were younger. Matt absolutely loves it here, and after going and visiting it, I completely understand why. There is something pretty magical about this place.

This is Matt's Grandma's Headstone. Neither of them have been her since she passed away.
Eli and Heather sitting next to the headstone. I'm not quite sure Eli understood what it was, but he sat there well enough.
Heather and her Grandma Afton.
I was just playing around with Missy's very cool camera and Ethan was just so bright eyed. These were just some really fun pictures of him. Just because he was so alert and looking right at me.

Love, love, love this picture.
The wind was blowing so bad in these pictures. Heather and I's hair was all over the place. We rode the ferry back to Seattle from Bremerton. It was a pretty cool experience. I have never rode a ferry before.

So we went to this little old ladies house. Her name was Marget and she was one of Afton's best friends. Matt remembers spending many hours in her back yard in the summers. Well, Heather and Matt wanted to see if she was still alive and how she was doing, so we went to visit her. She didn't remember them specifically, but she did remember Afton's grandkids. She let us go wander her backyard for a while. She lives right on the water's edge so it was so amazing. The shells were not broken or anything because it was a private beach. We found so many Sand dollars. By far one of my favorite parts of this trip. They are so cool and I had never seen one before. We found some really big ones, and some very small ones. As small as a dime.

Eli showing off all of his treasures.
This is Marget. Isn't she the cutest little old lady ever?
Ethan just chilling, waiting for us to find all our shells. He was such a good baby. He was quite content to just lay there and look around.
After we walked the beach for awhile, we drove up to point-no-point lighthouse. It had the prettiest beach. The sand was just perfect for playing in and building castles and such in. I helped Eli write his name with a stick. I think this picture is so cute.

This is the lighthouse. This picture looks like a postcard to me. It was such a beautiful sight.
Eli and his Daddy playing in the sand.
Eli and Heather playing in the sand.
Heather helped Eli dig a hole big enough for him to sit down in. He pretended it was his spaceship and was absolutely loving it.
Then after a little bit, Heather and Matt thought it would be a great idea to bury him. At first.... not loving it, but then he actually started helping Heather through the sand on him and he thought it was hilarious. I was actually very shocked the he was even willing to let them do this. It just didn't seem like something Eli would do.
This was after they got Eli's shirt off. He had sand in EVERY crevice of his body. But it sure didn't seem to bother him to much. He thought it was funny. Once he got out, the first thing he said was "do it again". What a silly boy?
This is not even 2 minutes of him getting back in his car seat. He was soooooo tired. I just thought he looked so cute.
We went back to Bremeton after we went to the lighthouse because the tide was much lower and we wanted to find more sand dollars. I took this picture just because I wanted to show off how many oyster shells there were. All of those things in the picture are clam/oyster shells. They were everywhere and they were not broken or anything. It was so much fun.

Isn't this the cutest picture ever? What's with this face? In my opinion, I think this was just good timing with the camera. He never actually pulls this face. I just caught it perfectly on the camera. SOOOOOOO cute though.
On the way back to the house, we stopped by the temple. It was very beautiful, but it just looked like a box. It is not one of my most favorite. I think ones such as SLC, or Manti are very much more beautiful then this one, but it was still very pretty.

Different angels of the temple.

The flowers and the sculpture was just some of the things that I saw walking around the temple grounds.
Heather and Eli playing in the water.
We found these little critters EVERYWHERE. We could pick up almost any given rock and there would be at least 20 to 30 of them just chilling underneath them. You pick up the rock and they all just scatter really fast.

I was so sad. There were hundreds of these shells all over the ground, but we never saw a real one this big. I think that the birds get to them to fast or something. I sure wish we could have seen a real one that was this big.
Lots, and Lots, and Lots of Jelly fish.... EVERYWHERE.

So Eli found this really long piece of Moss. He pretended that it was his pet snake and carried it around most of the time. He was quite adamant about it and he wanted us to pet it, and say hi to his pet snake. It was the cutest thing. This little boy has a very very vivid imagination.
