Having a little fun with Easter

My parents are serving an LDS mission right now and they are in Nauvoo, IL for the next year. They are really loving the work that they have been able to do out there. Well, of course I want to be supportive and write letters and have my boys send them things, but they are a little small still to be writting full on letters, so this is what we came up with. We sent them a simple Easter pacakge. The boys had so much fun helping me to create the different things in it. First off we made some tiny scrolls that Eli wrote his ABC's on and then another one that he told me a story, I wrote it down for him and then he drew all of the illistrations for it. These were two of the things that we put in the eggs. Another thing that we did was to get a 24 piece puzzle, we put it together and then flipped it over and put the hand prints and I love you on the back. then we put some of the pieces in the box and some of the smaller ones in some of the eggs. Then as you will see from the next few pictures, The boys each collored and Easter egg picture for them and they also decorated a crazy egg man for them. There was candy in some of the other eggs. The boys had so much fun helping to make all these fun things for there Grandma and Grandpa. We sure do love them, and love the example that they are setting for the boys.

Okay, so back to this park.....

Okay, so I told you that I would get back to this park and tell you a little more about it. This is a new park that just recently went in pretty close to our house. Pictures really don't do justice to how large this thing is. I think it is thirty feet to the top of it. Well anyway, I think it is either the most ingenious playground equipment, or one of the most insane. I have not quite decided yet. Eli really loves this thing. He will climb all the way to the top, which I love, but on the flip side, it is a little nerve racking for my four year old to be thirty feet up in the air with really nothing keeping him there. He could so easily fall from this structure. So yes, This is my cute little four  year old at the very top of this amazingly cool structure.

Love hate relationship

I have a love hate relationship with pictures. You wouldn't know it. Of course you would just assume I have a love relationship because of how many, and I mean many, adorable cute pictures I take. But no.... not so true. Let me explain where the hate part comes in. The true inaccuracies that a picture can sometimes portray is what frustrates me so much. The next series of pictures, nothing special, no, not really. But the cuteness that was seen in my eye when taking these pictures is anything but justified through these few pictures. Ethan was waiting for me to go outside. He had his jacket on and everything. He was very much ready.... I was not. Sadly, this is what I found when I did decide I was ready. Yes, I know, mother of the year award for not being ready right when he was. But regardless, this is what I saw. He looked so cute and peaceful. Nothing really special but just really cute that particular sleep session.

Ethan

This is just a mini shoot of Ethan being his ever so cute and awesome self at the park the other day.

Aquarium fun

Okay okay, so we have been to the aquarium lots of times and really the pictures are always very similar, so that is why there really is not to many on here this time. but I just have to share some cuteness about that silly older child of ours. He is so funny. The first picture is just of the boys showing off how tall they are compared to the penguins but it is the second picture that I think is so funny.

So Eli, this silly little boy is so funny. Lately he has developed such a cute sense of humor. I mean really he is only four and he already gets the honest concept of a joke. He saw this big jug and informed me that it would be funny to trick dad and let him think that he was drinking all the drink in the great big jug. So he thought this one up all on his own. He posed the picture and told me when he was ready, and then he had to check it after I took it to make sure that I got a good picture so that he could show his dad that he had drank everything in the big jug. Where does he get this stuff. He is such a silly boy.

Park.... Take 1.... More to come later

Oh Moustache.....

So I have a love/hate relationship with our cat. First of, in the beginning I thought it would be pretty fun to have a cute little kitty around, and it was. And for the most part, it still is. He (well more to come on that later) is a pretty good cat. Does the job of cathing mice, and birds. Not such a fan of him leaving them as presents for us in very random places. But that has only been on a few occasions. And seriously, how can you resist such a cute picture of a boy and his pet. Moustache and Eli are best buds. Even still. I kind of thought that eventually the newness would ware off from having him and Eli would eventually not care, but he is still pretty particular of him and making sure that he is okay. And when I allow it, Moustache is still one of his favorite cuddling pals. So about the whole HE thing...... I was talking to our friends the other day and bragging about how amazing he is in being such a good hunter and then I expressed to them that I always thought it was the females that were the hunters and they continued to correct me in telling me that our beloved moustache was in fact a SHE. So, not so excited about that. Really dont want little kittys running around. Might just have to go have something done about that. But for the time being, we are enjoying are lazy cuddly kitty.

How do you eat your OREOS?

Notable Quoteable

We were explaining to Eli the different parts of chicken because we were having one of those whole chickens that you can get at the store for like five dollars, well anyway, we were telling him what part are the legs and showing him the neck and such, and then were asking him to guess were bacon and sausage came from. And then told him that we were having buffalo steaks at Grandmas tomorrow. Well in the middle of all of this great conversation, he informed us that he new were cauliflower came from, so of course we went with his curiosity and asked were it came from, and he informed us that it came from a sheep. Cauliflower was the fuzzy stuff off of the outside of a sheep. So we corrected him in the nicest way possible and tried to explain the concept of yarn to him, but I pretty much thought that was the cutest most creative thing I have ever heard. This is my four year old people. Never a dull moment with him and he is sooooo incredibly smart. Just thought I would share the cuteness.

One more SNOW day.....

Oh how I love this little boy.....

Honestly, pictures do not even do a small amount of justice to the personality that is packed into this amazing little boy. He always keeps us hopping and definitely keeps us smiling. This is the cuteness that I got today.

So about this picture, which let me just say right now does absolutely no justice to the cuteness that he is actually portraying. So for the last month or so when you ask Ethan were something is or what he did with it, this is the face that we get. We always say, you didn't eat it Ethan, and he will just open his mouth and show us, or point in his mouth. I mean really anything we ask for, "Where is it Ethan?" This is the cuteness that we get. He is so funny. I just thought I would share the silly cuteness with you all.

More SNOW

I know, just more snow pictures. But we have just had sooooo much fun playing in the snow recently. We just haven't had much this season, so we are making up for lost time.

SNOW much fun

I ask this cute girl to smile for me, and this is what I get. I think she has done this before, what do you think?
