Aquarium fun

I love that my older son is really starting to get a sense of humor. He is so funny sometimes. Now, his jokes dont always make sense, but I can see how in his little head that he is trying to hard to make a funny. This first picture is just a great example of this. He was trying to be all mischievousness when touching this totally fake, and quite large crab. He is just a funny little kid, with so much personality, im not quite sure what to think. I love him so much. We found an amazing deal on living social that was a season pass for both Eli and I for only 12 dollars. I mean seriously, it is 14 dollars for us to just go one time so how could I pass this up. Ethan is free, so it works out just great. There is not really a ton to do at the aquarium, but I know myself could go watch the penguins and the otters for hours. Just those two particular attractions. I think Eli's favorite is the shark tank. And I think Ethans favorite is the penguins. The other day we were lucky enough to get to take Maren with us. These three have sooo much fun together. I love it.

Impromptu Photo Shoot

We are making a book for my Dad and Caren for their mission. It is kind of a brag book/ tribute to our parents. Well anyway, I wanted a more recent family photo so we went out with Lara and she took a few new ones of us. This really actually turned into a fun little photo shoot. We had heard that there was a hot spring not to far away from our house, so we went on a walk to find it. Sure enough, it was there and we will for sure be going back once it warms up just a little bit. A new adventure for sure.

I love this first picture cause it pretty much sums up how every picture we tried to take of both of the boys went. Ethan screaming and crying and Eli just as happy as can be. Ethan doesn't like sharing the spotlight so much. He was amazing on the pictures that we took of just him, but when we would throw Eli in the loop, he would get a little uphappy. Not sure what all that was about.

First time Ice Skating

Ice skating and I have a love/hate relationship. I have never been very good at it and it really kind of hurts my ankles. So when I found out, this is what we were doing for my nephews fourth birthday party, I was well, a little less then excited. But wow, can I change my opinion on that. I have not had this much fun with the boys in awhile. As you will see from the pictures, none of us ever really mastered this, but the entertainment, excitement, and funny faces were well worth it. At first it just started out with Eli and I on the ice, but Ethan, being the determined little stink that he is was not having that, He had to get out on the ice too. And Grandma, being the ever supportive Grandma that she is, ran and got him some skates so he could try it out too. More on that later. So now to the fun part. The really cute pictures.

This first picture is about the funniest thing ever. Their faces are so priceless. Eli was screaming, he just wanted to go and Ethan, just relaxing on his arms like....really, can we just go already. I just think it is really funny.

Ethan with his skate mate and his brother close at hand to make sure he doesn't fall. He is such a good big brother.

Ethan was so excited to get out on the ice. Look at this face. He was having a hard time staying on his feet all the time and he would sometimes slip, but for how young he is, I thought he did amazingly well and he had soo much fun.

This is pretty much how I spent the whole night. Bent over holding one of the two boys up, but Eli did actually eventually get pretty good at it and then I was mostly just helping Ethan. It was a team effort and I think it took all of us there at one time or another to help keep them up. But they had so much fun and it was a really good experience for them.

Ethan showing off his moves.

Like I said.... a group effort.

Eli doing it pretty much all by himself. He was doing so well by the end of the night.

Go Eli!!! We are so proud of you.

Eli all ready in his skates and ready to get out on the ice.

Thanks Heather for inviting us to Corbins party. We had so much fun and the boys loved it. Happy Birthday Corbin! We love you soooo much.

Randomness in the park

Just playing around at the park and got some really cute pictures of them just playing around. There was nothing really particular that I was trying to catch shots of, just got some cute ones that I thought I would share. I noticed in my pictures that we have not done anything really amazingly fun lately. I suppose it is time to plan an event so that I can say we have done something this month.

Did I mention we really love Grandma...

So Grandma Gaye comes down for date night each week.... (Can you say amazing?) But lately, her and the boys have been doing crafts or activities each date night and this was activity for the night. Grandma asked Eli what kind of treat he wanted to make and he said cake. The rest kind of came from there. They decided on a Kermit one. So I made the cake earlier in the day with the boys so that it would be cooled off by the time Grandma got here. I have to say, I am quite impressed with how cool their Kermit cake turned out. Look at that smile. That is one super happy little boy.

Eli's First Jazz Game with Dad

I love this serious of pictures. They are just cute. Not really any other way to describe them. He just is so handsome and he was having such a good time with his dad. I love that his dad took this opportunity to take his little man to the game with him. Matt was fortunate enough to be given some seats to the jazz game. Eight rows up, pretty dang great seats if you ask me. Eli had sooo much fun and spent the night just having a boy dad date with his dad. As you will see from the pictures, nothing but great memories created here.

Eli kept calling this the stage. Apparently he has seen a few to many productions on stages. I have tried to tell him that is called the court, or the floor, but he is pretty persistant that it is the stage.

Look at how cute these two are. I sure do love them so much.

I think he was just in awwww of everything going on around him.

Such a cheeser, but ooo so handsome.

I wasn't going to post this picture because it is so much like the last one, but I want some opinions. Do you think it is a look of confusion, scared, or not quite sure. His face.... REALLY. I just wish I knew what was going on in his head during this picture.

Another super good one of my boys. One of my new favorites actually.

Eli's Uncle Justin gave him ten dollars to spend at the game. The only deal was that he had to get something for himself. He choice pizza. What do you think? I think he completely enjoyed this treat.

So here are a few more of my new favorites. So I have to give a little back story on why I love this picture so much. Anyone who knows my son, knows that he is completely afraid of characters in costumes. Like screams, and runs away, wants nothing to do with them. Not even his favorites, like buzz and woody in Disneyland could convince him otherwise. We have tried to explain they are just like Halloween costumes and just like when he dresses up like spiderman or his ninja turtle costume. Nothing seems to convince him, he really is very scared of them. We apparently the Jazz Bear was walking up the steps right next to Eli and Matt let him know this was his first Jazz game. So the bear just picked him right up and threw him on his shoulder. Not only did Eli not freak out, the second he got down it was all he could do to tell his dad how awesome it was that the Jazz bear did that. I love it. I don't know if this has cured his fear completely, but it was a step in the right direction.

I love my husband so much. And I love that fact that he can take his four year old son to a Jazz game and have this much fun with him. Im sure this was a pretty awesome memory created on both their parts. I am thankful for the little blessings in life. They are around you each and every day.
