Model???

I'm hoping one day that I can make enough money to pursue a bit more of a career in photography. I really do love it. But then I think about it, and one of the main reasons that I love it so much is because I have such an adorable little model to take pictures of. He is one in a million I tell you people. We went to memory grove the other day for a picnic and he was just playing it up for me. I got so many cute pictures of him this particular outing. I don't really feel that I would ever wish the modeling career on anyone, because I feel that it takes away the innocence of childhood for most people. But if I did believe in it a little more, I feel this little boy would have a pretty good shot at it. He has these amazing beautiful blue eyes, and perfect blond hair, and that smile..... it just melts your heart.

Definitely one of my new favorites

He looks like he is thinking really hard about something in this picture

Probably my favorite of the day

Also another favorite

This one and the one underneath are two of my favorites of all time. I love the angel and I just love how pure and innocent he looks in them. He is just so perfect.

I love you monkey!!!

Eli and Daddy on the Moon

The other day we decided to take an adventure up to Salt Lake and have a picnic at Memory Grove, well along our adventure we decided to stop at the Clark Planetarium. Eli thought most of the stuff was pretty cool, but walking on the moon with his Daddy was by far his favorite part. He was so cute walking around like an astronaut, light as air.

Okay, Okay, so I have to explain this next picture. Now, I am all about creativity, uniqueness and expressing ones self in abstract ways, but this particular place..... well it was about the weirdest I have ever seen, even after reading the stories behind were everything came from. So this is all I can tell you. This place is called Gigel Gardens in Salt Lake. Go google it if you would like for some interesting reading, and go visit it, if you would like for an even more interesting outing. Keep an open mind. It wasn't really the right season to go, but we were up there, and Matt really wanted to go check it out. I do believe that we will probably go back when it is more the summer season and the garden is a bit more beautiful. So what you are looking at people, yes, it is a Spinx with the head of Joesph Smith. Just go read about it, it isn't what you are thinking. Well, it definitely wasn't what I was thinking.

Eli's new BIG BOY BED

As everyone knows now, we are expecting our newest little addition to the family the end of April. Eli is way excited to be getting a little brother soon. Well in order to make a little bit more room around here, we have gotten rid of Lara's queen bed and transitioned into a set of bunk beds for her and Eli. Eli has been on a toddler bed in our room for quite a while now, so this has definitely been a big transition. But he actually isn't doing to bad with it. We have about a week and the naps have been going pretty good. We haven't quite concord a night yet, but it will take time and I'm completely confident that this too is not to far away. He is growing up so fast. Lara has actually really loved the new bed. We were a little worried because she doesn't really do heights, not even little heights, and getting up and down for her was quite awkward at first, but she is an all time, bunk bed climbing pro, and she loves having her own little area up away from the world. Eli looks so small in these pictures. I suppose compared to his other bed he is quite small on there.

Can't wait for it to get just a little bit warmer!

So this was our first big adventure out to the park. Can I just tell you how ready I am for Spring. Not summer, because I really don't love it when it is super hot. But Spring, the nice cool breeze with the feel of the warm sun on your face, bring it on. Eli was so loving life. It has just been so cold lately, and this day was so beautiful and nice. But the even more depressing part of this, two days later we woke up to 6 inches of snow on the ground. I was not very happy, but well, I suppose we have had a ton of fun in the snow as well. So bring on the snow suit. Don't mind our drunken son at in the video. I actually thought he walked pretty well for getting so dizzy. The spinner thing was his favorite thing to do at the park.

Shooting at TWO!!!!

I have to warn you right up front, I did not condone this...... OKAY, who am I kidding, it was the cutest thing ever. We went out to watch the men shoot and Eli so badly wanted to shoot with his dad, but none of the guns they were shooting was even close to something that wouldn't have blown his arm off. Luckily his Uncle Gary had brought a little air soft gun to let his little boy shoot. Eli was living it up. He thought it was about the coolest thing in the world to shoot some pop bottles.

I just thought this was a pretty cute picture of Eli and his cousin Hailey watching the men shoot the REALLY REALLY LOUD guns.

Tractor with Grandpa

This last weekend we were in Delta and Eli got his first taste of being on a big tractor. He has been on the little riding lawn mower, but this was way better. Grandpa gave him his first ride and gotta say, he didn't love it, at least not at first. It took him some time to warm up to it. I don't know if it was cause it was to loud, or if he was not sure what was going on. He did eventually decide it wasn't to bad, but I don't know how fast he would be willing to jump back up on one.

Need I say More?

Just one of my new favorite pictures of Eli... Just thought I would share. I love this little boy so much. He makes every day all worth it. How could you not fall in love with that smile?

The Cave of Wonders....

Whoever knew that bunk beds could be used for so much more then just sleeping. Eli loves his new big boy bed, and he loves even more that dad has shown him how to turn it into a bat cave. There has already been many hours of pure imagination entertainment from these new beds. Gotta love it! So here are a few pictures of Eli loving his new bed.

OUCH

So Eli bit through his lip the other day and it was the saddest thing ever. It really wasn't so bad after we got it all cleaned up, but this is what we woke up to the next day. It was so white and infected, and although I swear it had to hurt him really bad, he was actually in good spirits most of the time. It didn't really seem to bother him much.

Special Needs Prom

Lara attended her Special Needs Young Woman's Prom a week or so ago. Here are just a few pictures of the fun she had that night.

Lara and Dustin Nielson

Lara and Miss Lehi. Don't they look so cute together? Lara thought she looked so beautiful.

Lara and her friend Amanda

Lara and her "buddy"... Kaitlyn

Normally I would do Lara's hair for prom, but this year she was quite adamant about having the YW do it for her. Not quite sure why, but it did look cute. The picture doesn't really do it justice, but she sure had fun.

Lara standing in the arch way.

Lara... just being Lara.

Eli loves to dance

We took Lara to her special needs prom the other day and figured why we were there, we may as well enjoy the live band. They were actually really fun to listen to, played songs more from the old days. Well..... Eli could not have had more fun with this little activity. He was loving life and dancing a lot. I mostly posted these videos for Grandpa Doug because he lives to far away to see this kid in action everyday, but I am sure that everyone else will thouroughly enjoy them as well. I had a fouth video, which was actually the best one, but it is such a big video is was taking way to long to load, so you get what you get. Did I mention that this kid loves to dance.

Eli and Frosty

A week or so ago we got a little bit of fresh new snow. Eli so desperatly wanted to go build a snowman. Matt had been sick most of the morning, so I attempted to go help this handsome little boy make a snow man. Me being quite pregnant, I have a really hard time bending over, and then over again, and again, to build a snowman. So although our snowman does not quite compare to the snowman that Eli, Daddy, and a few of the cousins built a few weeks ago, Eli still had a blast and made a really cute Eli size snowman. And I must say, I got some very cute pictures out of this adventure.

Karter and Eli

We went over to Kyle and Carissa's the other day to celebrate Christmas.... yeah, yeah were only a little bit late, but that is pretty much how it works with us. Well anyway, I just thought I would share a few pictures of my handsome boys. You can definitly see the similarities I think. I love how good Karter is to Eli and Eli just loves him so much. He is always super excited everytime he finds out that we are going over to there house. I do have to say I believe there is a certain bond that these to have that happened long before they ever made it to earth. I love them both very much and am very grateful for the way this blessing has worked out.

Karter at 8 1/2 and Eli just barely over 2. This is a book that Eli got for Karter.

What Cheesers! Love you guys!

Aubree's Birthday Party

Aubree is Eli's cousin. We went to Jumpin Jacks a while ago to celebrate Aubree turning eight. There was so many people and it was quite crazy so I didn't get to many pictures, and the few I did get, didn't really turn out all that well. But here are a few to share some of the funnyness we had throughout the night.

This is Eli's other cute cousin Zayci. Not the greatest picture because both of them have been running like crazy people and sliding down slides for the last hour or so.

This picture needs some explaining. They were doing presents and all the kids were just waiting in line to give Aubree their present, Eli was by far, the youngest kid there and definitely the shortest. But he just stood there in line, patiently waiting. He would take a bite of his doughnut, then take a step forward, then another bite. It was so cute.

What is wrong with this picture? Eli surrounded by three much older little girls. I'm sure his dad is so proud. It still just blows me away how he can just be friends with everybody, no matter where we are, who they are, or what we are doing. He is just such a happy kid.

How can you not love this kid?

So it has been so long since I have posted anything, but life has been so crazy. Not that we have really done anything all that fun, but we have just been busy. So in the next day or two, expect lots of updates on this funny, cute, adorable, and extremely smart little boy. Also, hopefully I can get an update in on the new little guy that will be joining are family in just a few short months. Also, Lara has been up to a few fun things that last little bit. So hope you all enjoy sharing some fum family moments with me.

So first things first. Have you ever seen such a cute little boy? Apparently we need to work on wearing the "big boy pants" in the right area, but this was so much more fun and he was loving life. He has such a good imagination. What made this even funnier, was after after he got all his gear on, he was jumping off the couch and saying "to infinity and beyond," just like Buzz Lightyear. I don't know how I ever survived life before having kids. I must have been bored all the time, because..... THIS....... this is great. This is by far, the best thing any women can do with her life........ BEING A MOMMY!!!!
