Easter Sunday

Okay, okay, so on to finally Easter Sunday. Geesh we had such a busy weekend, but we had sooooo much fun. Thanks to all of our family for making it such a great weekend. So Easter Sunday was actually the most mellow of all the days. We woke up, and the boys went to find their Easter Baskets. We played with some of their new things. Tried there new Easter outfits on and had a little mini photo shoot. Then we had a nice family breakfast. Then we had choir practice. I play the piano for the ward choir, and since we were performing today, this was our final practice to make sure that everything was going to work out. It did by the way, and we actually sounded pretty good. Well, then we went to church. Grandma, Heather, Randall, and Justin all came to our ward to. Most to help with the boys, also just to watch Matt sing and I play. But after church we had a really good ham dinner at our house and then a little Easter Egg hunt outside.

This was in the backward. Eli showing off all of the eggs that he had found.

Ethan was more curious with getting to Eli's basket then having any concern with his own.
The boys with there baskets after the Egg hunt outside.
Ethan looking for some Easter Eggs. That basket was almost as big as him.
I forgot to post the picture of all the eggs that the boys colored at Grandmas house and for scrap booking purposes, I thought I would just throw it in here.

This is Eli climbing the rocks in our backyard, trying to hunt down the Easter Eggs.

Another cute picture of Eli showing off another Egg.

Ethan being such a big boy and reaching up to get and Egg.

Ethan being way more concerned with what is in the Egg then actually going to find more. He was so funny. He would shake the eggs and then once he realized there was something in it, he was so determined to get it out.

Mini photo shoot of the boys in their cute Easter outfits. So normally we would get them new church outfits, but we just recently bought them some new ones for Heathers wedding and didn't really think we needed to get to new church suits so close together, so they just got some cute new little play outfits instead. Pictures of them in there new little suit pant outfits coming soon.

This is Eli showing off his actual basket. He got a couple of Star Wars books to, but there were to big for his basket so the Easter Bunny just set them behind his basket.

This is Ethan sitting by his basket. I never could get him to look at me, he was so preoccupied with the new toys and the thing that Eli was playing with next to him.

More Easter Weekend Fun

One day I will finally get all of Easter weekend posted so I can go on to tell you all about my Amazing little 1 Year old.... I know, crazy right? Wasn't he born yesterday?

SO, anywho, back to Easter weekend. The fun just never stopped. After we spent a few days in Delta, then we came up to Salt Lake and spent Saturday with Matts side of the family. They were having a fun raiser at Grandma's church to help out the scouts and the YW, so of course we were all about supporting that, plus, it really was just a lot of fun. These pictures are so out of order, but I will explain each one as we go along.

Part of the fund raiser was to have a pine wood derby race. You had to pay so much to enter a car and then you raced them. Well we were all over this idea, these cars are so much fun to make. Especially when it was a no rules- no regulations race. If it goes down the track, you can race it. Well Eli being the little stud he is, and being totally in LOVE with Phineas and Ferb right now, he wanted to create a Perry The Platypus Car. So we did. I think it turned out awesome. There was definitely some creative cars there. Ours being one of them. It took second or third on all four races, so we never did win anything. But the excitement in our sons eyes as he waited at the end of the track and then would grab his car and come running to us saying " That was so awesome" with his wide little eyes and total excitement to race it again, well, that all the prize we needed. He loved it.

They were also doing face painting and this was what Eli decided he wanted, Spiderman. I was completely shocked that he help still the entire time that she did this. He was such a good boy.

The ward also had a Easter Egg hunt in the morning before the Derby and other festivities. This is a picture of the three boys with their goods from the hunt. Corbin, Eli and Ethan.
Eli showing off some of his treasures.

A few shots of Ethan enjoying the festivities. At first he was really excited, but then he crawled over to a sucker and he was pretty much done. Once he found the sucker he didn't really want to look for anything else. He just wanted me to take the wrapper off and let him have the sucker.

Seriously, look at this face. How can you not just want to be surrounded by that all the time? He is such a charmer and the personality with this kid is endless. He is so funny.

Easter Egg Coloring - Take 1

We did so many fun things in Delta. Coloring Easter Eggs was one of them. This was Ethan's first time coloring eggs and he loved it. Mostly he just loved making splashes when he would every so nicely drop the eggs in the color dye, but he was loving life and that is really all that matters.

Eli always enjoys this part of Easter. He was really getting the concept this year and he was wanting to be way more creative with his eggs. He wanted to make a Tron car and a BYU egg and lots of other different ones. He was so funny. And he was so into coloring eggs this year.
My little big man. He is getting so big and he sooooo close to walking. Actually he has started walking, but it is about 4 or 5 steps here and there from one place to another. He doesn't do it all the time and he is certainly not confident about it yet. But I am actually totally okay if he doesn't start walking yet. Once they start walking they just don't stop and I guess as long as he is not walking I can still sort of see him as my little baby boy and not my big boy walking all over the place.

He was caught. I cant remember what he was doing, but something suspicious and I caught him. Don't you love this face?

He loves to play with his cousins so much. And he is getting bigger now, so playing soccer and football are things that he can kind of do now. I love that all the other kids are so good to him and always include him in everything. He was getting so into the game.

Ethan wanted to play football so bad. He is definitely all boy and I think that as soon as he does get confident with his walking, he will be all over playing sports with his brother and his cousins as well.

This is Elise. She is one of Eli's very favorite cousins. They get along soooooo well and she is so cute with him. She is so good to always include him and make sure that they wait for him when they are headed off somewhere. I just love her so much and how good she is with him.

Did I mention we were really busy

So again, they are way out of order, almost exactly backwards, but still a very fun day that needs to be remembered. Towards the end of the day, actually on our way home from the cave, we stopped at a place called Bob Stiensens Cabin ( I think, I am not actually sure about that). There is a legend or story, maybe a lot of truth to it, I really am not sure, but apparently there use to be an old Hobo that built this make shift shelter in the mountain and lived in it for some time. It is a pretty cool little shelter. I am pretty sure I would not want to live there, but pretty neat to be able to show my boys. Eli was not so sure about that idea that a man lived there and slept on the rock carved out bed and that this was actually someones house.

The first place that we went this day was to a place called Crystal Ball Cave. Seriously about the coolest thing ever. My pictures are similar, but the lady in this blog does such an amazing job explaining about things that if you would like to read more about the cave, go check out this link
http://desertsurvivor.blogspot.com/2009/03/desert-destination-crystal-ball-cave.html Anyone who wants an amazing Saturday activity I would highly recommend hitting this cave, it was soooooo cool.

So this is my happy little Ethan boy chilling in his chair on the grass at the Bates Family farm. This is were we had our lunch after we had hiked the cave. He was so nice to let us just eat out on his grass and his farm.

Also back on his farm there was a little pond thing were the kids found a few craw dads, well Eli kept saying Craw Babs and I corrected him a hundred times, but it was way cuter when he said it the way he did, so I just let it go. he had so much fun trying to catch them with all the kids. He is getting so big and he just goes now, he takes off and hangs out with all the other kids now. Were did my little boy go who would never go anywhere unless his mom was right there with him. Sure love you Eli.

This picture is of all of the grand kids standing at the end of the cave. This was right before we were to go through the exit door.
This picture shows, sort of, one of the parts were it was so low that we were basically crawling thorough the cave. It was the perfect height for Eli, but not so much for the adults. It still was the coolest cave, but there was definitely parts that we were crouching and to be honest because I had Ethan in my arms, there was even a few parts that i was crawling through.

There are lots of just random pictures of different things that we saw in the cave.
They call this on the fountain. I think the name suits it perfectly.
Eli trying to catch some more Craw Babs.
Me and my boys about half way through the cave. Don't mind my super red face. It was super hot and humid in the cave. I did eventually end up taking my jacket off, but man was it ever warm in there.

Ethan and dad after we got back to the farm after going through the cave.
One of the biggest formations that was in the cave. It was quite a bit taller then any of us.
