Randomness in the park

Just playing around at the park and got some really cute pictures of them just playing around. There was nothing really particular that I was trying to catch shots of, just got some cute ones that I thought I would share. I noticed in my pictures that we have not done anything really amazingly fun lately. I suppose it is time to plan an event so that I can say we have done something this month.

So Grandma Gaye comes down for date night each week.... (Can you say amazing?) But lately, her and the boys have been doing crafts or activities each date night and this was activity for the night. Grandma asked Eli what kind of treat he wanted to make and he said cake. The rest kind of came from there. They decided on a Kermit one. So I made the cake earlier in the day with the boys so that it would be cooled off by the time Grandma got here. I have to say, I am quite impressed with how cool their Kermit cake turned out. Look at that smile. That is one super happy little boy.

Eli's First Jazz Game with Dad

I love this serious of pictures. They are just cute. Not really any other way to describe them. He just is so handsome and he was having such a good time with his dad. I love that his dad took this opportunity to take his little man to the game with him. Matt was fortunate enough to be given some seats to the jazz game. Eight rows up, pretty dang great seats if you ask me. Eli had sooo much fun and spent the night just having a boy dad date with his dad. As you will see from the pictures, nothing but great memories created here.

Eli kept calling this the stage. Apparently he has seen a few to many productions on stages. I have tried to tell him that is called the court, or the floor, but he is pretty persistant that it is the stage.

I wasn't going to post this picture because it is so much like the last one, but I want some opinions. Do you think it is a look of confusion, scared, or not quite sure. His face.... REALLY. I just wish I knew what was going on in his head during this picture.

Another super good one of my boys. One of my new favorites actually.

Eli's Uncle Justin gave him ten dollars to spend at the game. The only deal was that he had to get something for himself. He choice pizza. What do you think? I think he completely enjoyed this treat.

So here are a few more of my new favorites. So I have to give a little back story on why I love this picture so much. Anyone who knows my son, knows that he is completely afraid of characters in costumes. Like screams, and runs away, wants nothing to do with them. Not even his favorites, like buzz and woody in Disneyland could convince him otherwise. We have tried to explain they are just like Halloween costumes and just like when he dresses up like spiderman or his ninja turtle costume. Nothing seems to convince him, he really is very scared of them. We apparently the Jazz Bear was walking up the steps right next to Eli and Matt let him know this was his first Jazz game. So the bear just picked him right up and threw him on his shoulder. Not only did Eli not freak out, the second he got down it was all he could do to tell his dad how awesome it was that the Jazz bear did that. I love it. I don't know if this has cured his fear completely, but it was a step in the right direction.

I love my husband so much. And I love that fact that he can take his four year old son to a Jazz game and have this much fun with him. Im sure this was a pretty awesome memory created on both their parts. I am thankful for the little blessings in life. They are around you each and every day.

We were out to Grandma Gayes just recently and the boys decided to go watch a movie in her bed. They were being so silly. I am very impressed with how realistic Corbin looks while he is pretend sleeping. He was holding his face so well. I don't know that I could have done that with how silly the other two were being. It was crazy.

Why are my boys always doing this....?

I look back over the past few months of posts and I realize that my boys are frequently doing this. I don't know why that is. I think most of the time they ask for it and really enjoy it. This time im not so sure if that is the case. Look at that face of terror on Eli. He looks sooooo scared. But the second he lands. He asks for another turn, so what do you do?

My boys are silly and they have a lot of fun doing just about anything. I love that about them. It makes things easy that they can enjoy doing things. Pretty much anything.

Christmas 2011

So I am only a little bit behind when it comes to posting about our amazing Christmas, but I will do my best to get caught up. There will be lots of pictures on this post, and not a ton of words. But enough to fill you all in on our fun celebration.

The first few pictures are actual of the few days after Christmas, just hanging out with the family out to Gaye and Randy's house. Eli getting thrown through the air, (after just eating cheetos, which is why is mouth and teeth are such a beautiful shade of orange), Ethan showing off one of his cute new Christmas outfits and just being cuter then ever. Grandma and Eli reading a story together. Justin and Ethan getting in a good nap after all the activities of Christmas.

Ethan got some new tub finger paints for Christmas. He was loving it and I thought I would show off one of his many masterpieces.

Each year the boys get some new clothes from Grandma and Grandpa Hatch. this is just one of many of Eli's adorable new outfits. I sure do appreciate this gift. It always keeps my boys looking so handsome.

Christmas was pretty amazing this year. The boys had such a good time and it really was just perfect all the way around. We were able to do it at our own house and just have a quiet Christmas morning with just the four of us. We have never done it like this, We have always gone somewhere. I have to say, I kind of enjoyed some having the quiet enjoyment of just being with my cute little family.

As you can see, Eli made was very loved this Christmas, and he must have been an EXCEPTIONALLY well behaved little boy last year for Santa to send him so much love.

Santa was a little hesitant to get a kitchen for this cute little boy, but after having it for just a few weeks, Santa is positive that he made the right decision. This was really about the only thing that Eli every asked Santa for. A kitchen, a race car and some pretend food. It never really changed, that was really what he always wanted. So Santa actually had it pretty easy.

Santa definitely remembered to come visit Ethan this year as well. He was also an EXCEPTIONALLY well behaved little boy last year as well. He got lots of new books and he got a little tool bench that has been hours of entertainment for both of them. He absolutely loves his Mickey Pillow Pet that his Grandpa Doug and Grandma Shar sent him. He was very loved this year as well.

Eli and his dad put his pirate ship TREO set together later in the day on Christmas. Eli was excited to show it off.

Yes, I know the pictures are little backwards. What else is new. They are always backwards. So the next few pictures are just of the boys opening presents on Christmas morning.

Eli got a new Leapster game from Grandma and Grandpa. He was very excited about this, as you can see from the cute smile.

While in Delta on Christmas Eve, I got a few pictures of some of our nightly fun. Lara made all these really cute hats for some of the nieces and nephews. Except Taylors, my sister Carol made that one. But good job Lara on making such cute presents for these guys.

My cute boys with their Grandpa and Grandma Anderson. I always get a picture like this every year. It is fun to see the progression as the boys have grown up.

Eli was also able to play the shepherd in the nativity we did at this party as well. He makes a great Shepherd. I love this picture because the cute little green outfit that Kyson is wearing is actually one of Eli's old "first Christmas" outfits, and I have a picture very similar to this were Eli is baby Jesus, and Haley is Mary, and I think Austin was the shepherd. Either way, it is just fun to think back on how long this has been a tradition in my own family. And seeing all the kids grow up through the years and the different generations of kids acting out the nativity.

First time Roller Skating....

A week or so ago, a few of my girl friends and our kids went to play at classic skating in Sandy. It was so much fun. The kids loved handing out on the bounce around things and climbing through the jungle. The boys absolutely loved it. Well part of your pass for all this other fun stuff is also skate rentals. WOW, not sure I was ready for this adventure without Matt's help to take the younger son, but we tried and he left smiling, so it was not a complete fail. He was really cute. He didn't do so great on the actual rink, but once he built up a little confidence, he did pretty good on the carpet. It was lots of fun and I am glad I got to share this time with my boys and some great friends.

Lake Christmas Party

I feel very sad that I did not take more pictures at this Christmas Party. I'm not exactly sure why I didn't. I really do love this family dearly. I'm not sure if I was just busy with other things, or if I forgot. Whatever the reason, I am just a little saddened by it.

Our family was in charge of the nativity this year. We have enough people in our family that we can pretty much act it out quite nicely. Eli was very excited to get to dress up and be a Shepherd.

I hope that my brother in law doesn't get to upset with me for posting this picture. But I just have to show everybody how awesome he is when it comes to getting into the spirit of an ugly sweater contest. He went all out and was rocking the creepy looking mustache as well. He grew it out just for the party and man was he a bit creepy looking.

This was at our second party of the day. We went to the May family cousin party. I sure do love these people. This was such a fun party. Good food, great family and friends, and fun entertainment ( mostly just watching the kids, but that was entertainment enough). I am mostly posting most of these pictures for Grandpa Doug. This is his family, and I am pretty sure it has been awhile since he has seen most of them, so I thought I would share what pictures I did get of some of the family.

This was at the first party of the day. We went up to Hill Air Force base for the Cottle Christmas party. It was also very fun. Again, great food, great company and a serious grueling game of minute to win it. I have to say, I was lucky enough to marry into some of the best families out there. There are so many good people and such a neat family, well families, to be a part of.

Christmas Tradtitions

We have a tradition in our family, probably the same tradition as many of the great people that live in Utah, but we go to temple square to see the lights every year around Christmas time. We just love it. It is always so beautiful and the spirit is always so strong there. Well this year we actually made a slightly bigger night of it and went and did Zoo lights the same night. We have never done this, and to be honest, Im not positive I would ever go do it again, but it was really fun to at least see once and the boys had a blast. We got to take our cute nephew Corbin with us.

This is my favorite picture of the night. We used bribery to get one good picture of all three of them. We told them if they would all just sit there super nicely and let me get one good picture of them, they could go ride the carousel. That was all it took to get this super cute picture of these three adorable boys.

Although, I have to admit, the unknowing back pictures turned out super cute as well. The boys loved the lights. There where so many light up animals, and most of them actually moved and that made that boys even more happy with the lights.

This is my Family....

So one hour of continual picture taking, attempting to get just one good family picture for our Christmas card and well.... that just isn't quite how it all happened. I never did really get a GREAT family picture, but hey, what can I say, this is my REAL family. We are a little goofy, a lot of funny, and always being silly, but there is LOTS AND LOTS of love in my little family and I would not have it any other way. Santa... take two, and other randomness

I just have to say... I have one of the cutest little missionary's in training. He found one of my little over the shoulder purses and he turned it into his scripture carrier, so now he looks really official. He is growing up WAY to fast. I'm not ready for it at all.

So, as you can see from previous posts we have seen Santa a few times this year. It was so much fun. Eli was sooooo excited to go tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas, and Ethan was not afraid at all. Eli was so scared when he was Ethan's age. I don't know if it is because he saw his older brother run up and jump on his lap, or what, but he was so cute. They both were very excited to see him. This was the Santa at our Ward christmas party.

We went to the aquarium a while back and this was just a picture that I took of Ethan. I just think he looks really grown up in this picture. I love that he can't smile with out squinting. It is his signature look. He is so handsome.

There really is not a lot of reasoning behind the silly things that my family comes up with for entertainment, but I have to say that I never stop laughing and there is seldom a dull moment around my house.

So Matt brought home a few new backpacking bags from work that he was testing and we decided to have a little fun with them. Honestly not sure what inspired the insanity, but as you can see, the boys had a blast playing mini Matt.

Okay, Okay, so I love the summer as much as the next person, but honestly, I am ready for a little snow. I have not been able to build a snowman not even one time with my boys. These are our pictures from us, at the park, barely needing jackets, in the middle of December. Come on snow. We just need one really good, massive snow storm to get it out of my system.

So December seems like it just flys by, because it is so busy and there are so many things to attend and get done. My little boy turns 4

Wow, what a day. Can you say spoiled? Okay, okay, as Grandpa always says, "Not spoiled, just really, REALLY Loved" He most certainly is. Once again the pictures are all backwards. I will get it all figured out one of these days. We had so much fun celebrating with Eli. Look at this kids present load. Wow, to much love? Is that even possible?

Look at this super cute, awesome outfit that Grandma and Grandpa Hatch gave Eli. He is a super huge BYU fan because of his daddy, and I suppose that is a good thing. They are a pretty good team to support. He was so excited for his new Cougars outfit.

Eli blowing out his candles on his super cute Phineas and Ferb cake. This wasn't the exact cake that he wanted, but it was kind of a combination of three different ones that he wanted. We took some different factors from all of them and came up with this. He really loved it and we had a blast making it together as a family.

Grandma and Grandpa Hatch also got him a way cool Tonka truck. Honestly this was about the only thing that Eli evey asked for when we would ask him what he wanted for his birthday. He wanted one so that he could play with his friend Tommy next door. Tommy is all about Tonka trucks and Eli was pretty sure that he needed one as well. He cant really play with it outside right now because of how cold it is, But he has surely figured out how to load it with treos and dump them out and Ethan thinks the back of it is the best seat in the house. Pictures of that to come soon.

This is Eli's new bike, but Ethan needed to get in on that action to.

Eli and is new Perry shirt. It was slighly to big, but it was the smallest that we could find. He was sure a happy camper though. Look at that smile.

As part of Eli's party, we set the basement up to be Dr. Doofensmirtz evil science lab. Look at how intrigued those kids are. I think this was one of their favorite parts of the party. In this picture, Matt is making Evil Elephant toothpaste. The kids were just amazed. They watched so well followed all the rules excellent.

The kids were so fascinated and really enjoyed the different science experiments.

They all started sitting down but then they had a really hard time seeing everything that was going on on the table, so they stood up and gathered around the table.

We mummified the kids with crate paper and had a relay race. This is only a few of the kids that were there. A few of them were a little late, and a few others really didn't want to be mummified. But in this picture, from left to right, Corban Fegley (cousin), Eli, Tommy Kieffer (neighbor next door), Lindie Parkins (Neighbor down the street), and Dash (Neighbor around the corner). At the party, there was also Malcom (Dash's Brother), Maren ( Neighbor a few houses down), Jason Potter ( Eli's Best Bud), Zander ( Eli's cousin). It was such a fun party.

Happy birthday Eli. I sure to love you and look forward to watching you grow and learn more and more each day. You are intelligent, kind and an amazing big brother to Ethan. You know all of your Abc's by sight and sound. Lower case and upper case. You can read or sound out most three letter words. You can write the entire alphabet both upper case and lower case only getting slightly confused sometimes on the lower case p, q, b, and d but for the most part can write all of them. You are a charmer and have lots of friends. You enjoy reading and have a great understanding of what you are reading. We can read beginner chapter books and you are able to tell me what it is that i am reading to you, even if it is very limited on pictures. You love to do I spy's, either in book form or on the computer. You enjoy seek and finds. You are a big help to your mother and are always willing to do most chores that are asked of you. You always help me by putting the silverware away out of the dishwasher, and helping your dad gather up all the garbage on garbage day. You are pretty good about helping me put your laundry in the correct drawers. You are completely potty trained during the day and the night. You actually have been for about six months, just thought that this is something that I should finally document about. You are a sweet spirit and a very important part of this family. Your father and I love you very much.

So I know that the bed is not made, and the pillowcases dont match, but I love this picture and thought I would share it. Not really sure why I like this picture, I think it is because I was just in my room, picking up some things and he was giggling and we were just talking and then I look up, and he was out. It was just cute I guess and he looked so peaceful.

Impromptu Photo Shoot with Lara

This made me sooooo mad. Lara was up at our house a weekend or so ago and I wanted to go take some new pictures of her just because. So it was slightly overcast, but looked pretty calm and pretty. So I told Lara to go shower and get all beautified. She got all dolled up and we headed out. Of course the second we get outside it starts to get really windy and a few minutes later it even starts to sprinkle. So we got a few quick ones in and headed in the house.

So here are a few that turned out kind of okay.

Halloween and Randomness

Earlier in the day as we were driving up to Grandma Gayes to go trick or treating. I just thought he looked like a little fluffy marshmallow. But he looks super super comfortable.

After going trick-or-treating. You would think that would have worn him out, but nope, he must have gotten a second wind or something because he was bouncing off the walls, literally, later in the night.

Super Coach. Heather is always so creative in her costumes. I love that she gets into the spirit and has so much fun with the kids.

Eli is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. He has a very super cool mask, but wasn't very fond of it so his amazing Aunt Heather painted the cool mask on his face. It was much better. Because he loved having his face painted and he did so good about not rubbing it or bugging it.

My THREE favorite boys in the whole world. I love them sooo much. He is such an amazing father and he is soooo good with his boys. They love spending as much time as possible with them.

Ethan, my cute little Tiny Ninja. He looked so cute and had so much fun. Last year, he was so little and it really didn't mean much to him. But this year, once he trick or treated a few times with Eli, he had it all figured out and he was running from one house to the next. He thought it was the greatest thing ever. He was so cute. He would crawl up the stairs and go knock on the doors. Such a cute little boy.

This picture is soooo Ethan. Total cuteness with Candy in his mouth. Or something in hands, He can ALWAYS find candy, treats, something. Anything that he can eat. I don't even know how he finds it sometimes.

Anyone who has ever met Eli knows that he has more personality then most. He is the funniest, and brightest little boy I know. Yeah, I am a little partial because I am his mother, but even if I wasn't, he is bright. So, Eli also in his zone is a dancing, moving, football loving, upbeat, happy child.

This first picture just kills me. The song, "look at me now", not the greatest song in the world, but Eli loves dancing to it. And the part were is says, "Look at me now", this is what he does. First pointing to himself, and then pointing to you. It is the cutest thing in the world.

This is such a Eli picture. Cute, quirky, full of life and personality. Charming, sweet, compassionate, Kind and loving. Just to name a few that come quickly to me when thinking about Eli.

Innocence of a Child....

I was just watching Ethan the other day, as I often do. Just sit and watch this cute little boys mind at work. He is curious about things and focuses hard on things. I love just watching him and seeing how he handles situations and watching him trying to figure things out. He was focusing so hard on this little nerf gun. I do believe that he sat and focused on this for about 5 minutes without even moving.

Happy Pre- Halloween

So once again my pictures are totally backwards, so you get the joy of seeing our really fun day in reverse. It was such a fun day. This was actually the Saturday before Halloween. We have this really fun tradition that we usually do the Saturday before Halloween. We all go to Grandma and Grandpa Hatch's house to carve pumpkins, make some Halloween crafts and have some very nummy soups and chili. The boys look forward to this for a few weeks. And they always have so much fun.

How do you eat your noodles?

This little boy has a personality all his own. There is really never a dull moment with him around. He just makes me laugh all the time. So I am pretty sure that I had given him a fork about three or four times and MAGICALLY it kept ending up on the floor. Yeah, Yeah, I know the good mother in me should have just taken the plate away from him until he was ready to eat like a big boy, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't stop laughing and he was being so funny.

Halloween Cruise

On Groupon a few months ago there was a deal for the Halloween Cruise on the Provo river. We are all about cheap, fun entertainment. My official opinion after actually doing the cruise.....Probably would not recommend it to any body else, kind of a waste of money. But, having the experience once was fun and now I can say we have done it. It is pretty much just a little boat ride and the river is lined with carved pumpkins. There are some pretty cute ones and some very intricate ones, but still, they are just carved pumpkins. But as I always saw, it made for some really fun, cute pictures, which counts for a lot in my book. So enjoy the cuteness.

There is this one feature on my camera that I have absolutely fallen in love with. It makes for some very cool looking pictures. Needless to say, I was having a little fun with it.

This is the Place......

This blog is actually of a couple of places, but mostly it is of "This is the Place Monument". It was so amazing. I have never been there before. Yes, I know, lived in Utah my whole life and I have never been there. We went there while Grandpa Doug and Grandma Shar were in town.

These first couple of pictures are actually of Thanksgiving Point Farm. We went there a month or so ago with some of our really good friends. The boys loved it. The lines were a bit out of control and there were to many people there, but it was still a lot of fun.

Eli made friends with this little girl really quick. The line really was moving very slowly and he had plenty of time to make friends. They talked and talked and they were so cute together.

This picture was from Justin's Softball game. I'm not sure why they had a box there or exactly why they thought it would be so funny to put Ethan in it, but he looks happy enough and is just so stinking cute. Look at the smile and such fuzzy hair. I love it.

Now start the pictures of this is the place. This was the train that we road right at the beginning. It goes around the whole park and it takes you to different stops so that you don't have to walk the entire park.

This was an old original school. They actually still teach at it. The teacher said she teaches a couple classes a week.

The petting zoo was a major hit with the boys. As always, anything that involves animals is sure to win the love from my boys. They love animals.

I wish I had one of these in my backyard. They are the cutest little houses. All toddler sized and the boys had so much fun playing in this little miniature village. I just love this picture because they are just sitting there talking to each other. I love when the brothers play so nice with each other. The older it gets, I think I have noticed that the fights are getting a little meaner, but the love and consideration of his brother is also getting better. The extremes are getting more extreme I guess. If that makes any sense.

Just a little over a month ago, my favorite sister in law got herself married. It was a party all the way around. A very fun wedding, and very beautiful. The whole day was just perfect. I personally was a tad bit worried about the weather, since it rained most of the morning, but by mid afternoon, it had cleared up and was the most perfect weather for the ceremony. And the reception, that was just a party all the way around. It was sooooo much fun and there was lots of dancing and good food, friends, and family.

The first few pictures were a few days early at the wedding rehearsal. Eli was a ring barrier and Ethan was suppose to just walk next to him. All in all, it turned out okay, considering Ethan is not even 18 months old yet. But we will get to that in a bit. So at the rehearsal, the boys had a blast just playing on the rocks and running around why they were working on other things.

I just have to say it now, my boys look sooooo handsome when they are all dressed up in their church clothes. And especially cute this night because they were matching, and they both had their hair done. They just looked so very handsome and very grownup. Definitely future missionaries.

I am pretty sure that Ethan could have spent all night sitting in these rocks and throwing them to another section of the rock pile. He was in heaven.

He walked down the isle just the way he was suppose to and he stood right by his uncle Justin and behaved himself the entire ceremony. He was so perfect. His brother on the other hand. Well..... He started out really well, Eli was holding his hand and the pillow with the other, and Ethan was walking really well down the isle, but then he got sidetracked and Eli slowed down and bit to try to get Ethan back on track and this in turned slowed the flower girls down, so I just ended up picking him up and Eli went on his way by himself. It was okay, I think Heather understood that she was asking for a miracle for it to work perfectly, and sometimes miracles do happen, but today was not one of those days. But still, Eli picked up the speed a little, caught back up and did the rest of his part perfectly.

So the next few series of pictures are from the reception. I just have to tell you a little about this reception. It was an all out dance party and it was so much fun and so Heather and Randall. Heather has been dancing for as long as I have known her and she has a love for music so this reception was very fitting for her personality, I thought at least. Matt was the DJ and he just kept the hits coming, one after another. And to continue the fun of this night. If you have ever met my boys, you will know that they have that same love of music that their dad and Aunt Heather have. If they hear a beat, or any kind of music for that matter, they will start dancing, almost anywhere. Well that was how the night was set up and it continued for the whole reception and then some.

I feel a little bit bad because to be honest, my boys kind of took center stage on the dance floor. They were having so much fun and they just danced there little hearts out all night long. I thought for sure that they would eventually crash, or get tired, or want to take a break, but no way, they just kept going all night long. As you will see from the numerous videos, the boys had an amazing time.

Congratulations Randall and Heather. I wish you two the best of luck and we Love you two so much. Welcome to the family Randall and Corbin.

Fun With Family

We were lucky enough to have Grandpa Doug, and Grandma Shar, and Kasey out for a visit the week of Heathers wedding. We did so many fun things why they were here. I am slowly getting them all posted, BE PATIENT with me. Anywho, part of the time they were here we spent some time out to Grandma Gayes house and then one of the nights up the canyon.

Eli was being superman and flying over Heather and Taylor. He could make it over both of them easy enough, but then he thought it would be pretty fun to do belly flops on there belly's , then it became and even bigger party. Look at that flight.

This is Kasey, Eli and Ethan the night we were up the canyon. Eli loved hanging out with Casey so much. They were quick to become friends.

Dinosaur Museum.... A favorite of ours

I love to expose my boys to different things, and I also love doing things, so I am always looking for a good deal or discount on an activity. Well, the dinosaur museum is really expensive in my opinion, it is like 9 dollars a person or something, but in the month of August, they have there 2 buck Tuesday special. So if you can get past all the crowd, I can go to the dinosaur museum, farm country, and the children garden, all for the price of one days regular admittance to the museum. I love it, and so does the boys, which is why this has kind of become and annual thing. Eli is really fascinated by the bones. Some of the things he says about how big they are are so funny.

He was so fascinated by this bone. And once I explained to him what part of his leg it was and how big that same bone was on a dinosaur, then he was even more intrigued. He was the one that wanted the picture because he wanted to show his dad how big he was going to be when he gets bigger. Maybe the comparison to his own leg was not such a good idea. LOL

They have this new section that they have added since last year. Totally kid friendly and very hands on. It was a great addition to the museum. They have this really big magnetic board and then they have all these different bone pieces, then there are about 5 completed pictures of how you put the skeleton bones together. Eli was loving this puzzle type idea. He worked so hard to find all the right pieces to make this long neck. It took us a good 15 minutes, but he was very determined to finish it and he was so proud. I loved it. And I loved that he worked so hard to finish it, with very little assistance if I might add.

This is how Ethan spent most of the time we were there, which was actually a good thing because I was able to talk to Eli a lot and help him with some of the hands on activities.

I remember the days when Eli used to be so afraid of this guy. Now it is Ethans turn. He wanted nothing to do with it, but Eli posed for me a little.

Then Ethan woke up just about the time we got to the part were you can dig for bones and Ethan was so bright eyed because he had just had such a good nap. Eli and his brother could have played in the sand for hours. They were having so much fun.

Beach Bums

I love my family, and I love my extended family. We just always have soooo much fun together. I really am so greatful for the family that I married into. They have been such a huge influence to me and my boys and have played a huge role in our lives. My boys absolutely love them and look forward to anytime that they get to spend with them. But now, off of my soap box or gratitude.

A while or so ago we went to a lake. I don't remember the name of it, it is the one just before you get to Beaver. Anyway, Justin invited us to come up an go boating again and since we had such an amazing time the first time, we were all about doing it again, even if we did spend a whole lot more time just playing on the sand. As you will see from the pictures, it was so worth it and the boys had so much fun playing with there Grandparents and other family.

Have you ever seen a cuter BEACH BUM? He was being pampered and spoiled, don't you think.

Eli and his Grandma Gaye have always had a very special connection. They just understand each other so well and he loves her sooooo much. They were so cute on the beach together. Just playing, and digging holes. Talking and just being super cute together.

Ethan and his Daddy chillin in the water. It was a little colder then I would have liked, but it sure didn't seem to bother the boys. They were all having a blast in the water.

We play up the canyon lots. It is a favorite past time, and hopefully much more of a future fun time for us as well. I don't really have much to say. I just love sharing new fun pictures of my cute little family. Some of the boys faces are priceless.

A week or so ago, I got the super fun opportunity to take my little sister to the Selena Gomez concert. It was so much fun and a super great sister date for Lara and I. She absolutely loved it and had so much fun. There was so many younger aged girls there and it was sooooooo loud, but Lara just joined right in. And sitting next to us was a little girl, maybe 10 or 12 and her and Lara hit it off and were just having so much fun dancing and singing together. I feel kind of bad that I didn't get a picture of the two of them. O well. I did get some pretty cute ones of Lara, and I apologize that the ones or Selena are not great, but the lighting, the smoke, and the atmosphere of concerts, just don't make for the best pictures. A few weeks ago we got the amazing opportunity to go out and hang with Justin and his really good friend Chris out on the water. It was Chris's familys boat and they invited us out for the day. We had so much fun and Eli was just being a little fish. Ethan even got in on the action and went out on the tube with Chris. The boys loved it and we had so much fun just playing out on the beach ( well, sort of a beach), and splashing in the water. We spent most of the time on the boat though. Thank you again Cotant family for letting us come spend the day with you.

Fun in the Canyon

I have decided that the canyon is our second home. We spend as much time up there as we do anywhere. We love it. It is just so relaxing being surrounded by so many of Gods beautiful creations. The boys love it because they can get dirty, and they can climb, and they can run. Not much to say about this, we were just playing up the canyon one day and got some cute pictures of the boys.

Highland Splash Pad

Last summer we went to this splash pad lots of times because we lived so close and it is seriously the coolest splash pad ever, but since we moved and live a bit farther out now, we didn't make it quite as much. But the boys sure loved it when we did. We went with our bestest friends. Sarah and I got the chance to visit for a bit, Ethan was in his own little splash heaven, Allie just chilled on her moms lap, and Eli and Jason had a blast together. I love how great of friends these two are. They are so funny together.

I love the tongue. This kid is fearless I tell you. So much more adventurous then his brother was at his age. But OOOOOhhhhhh so cute.

How he managed to do this an not get trampled, I will never know. There were so many kids there. And he was just relaxing in the sun.

The Childrens Museum with Friends

A while back, a few of my friends invited the boys and I to join them at The Children's Museum up in Salt Lake. I have been there a few times, but it has been awhile. This place is totally awesome. So much fun for the boys and so very educational. It is a little on the pricey side, but if you have a day to go kill and you want to spend some very good educational time with your children, I would highly recommend this place.

There was a demonstration booth out and they were teaching about dot art. Eli was so fascinated. Jason and him had so much fun making their pictures.

Monster Magnetex. I wish I was rich, I would definitely invest in some of these. They are the coolest toy ever.

This was a real helicopter that they had outside. Eli was so fascinated with this. He was able to play with all of the controls, and it would turn on and make the sound that a real helicopter would make. He was so in trigued.

Ethan loved this little play house. It was just his size. The whole place was actually. Everything was so kid friendly and so educational. And they would have played here ALLLLL day if I had let them.

If only he was this confident on a real horse this size?

Eli has been so in to play food lately. You would think that would be better for little girls, but we have been around a lot of it lately at different places and he has been loving it.

Ethan's First Hair Cut

So I really haven't figured out why my pictures always post backwards. I really wanted the long crazy hair to be first and the cute short handsome hair cut to be towards the bottom, but nope, it didn't work out that way. This little mans hair was out of control. It was many different lengths and a little crazy, but he looked soooo handsome after we cut it. He was 15 months old and was so good. Eli has never really loved it when I cut his hair. He would prefer to have it cut by someone else, but Ethan did awesome.

Ode to the Bottle

I love the sweet innocents of a child. I wish that people could hold on to that a little more in life. We were out to grandmas house a while back and Ethan tracked down a little bottle that he fell in love with. He played with this little bottle for at least thirty minutes. He was so fascinated with it and it was so entertaining to watched. I loved it. He was so cute and content with it.

We have been to the zoo so many times this summer but he loves it there. The first picture is of Eli petting a little rabbit. At first he was kind of scared, but he did toughen up a little.

Sorry for the abundance of pictures on this post, but there was just so many fun things that we did and so many of the pictures turned out soooo cool, I had to share them. So a while back we went to a REAL soccer game. Yes we have been to a few. But this was one was exceptionally fun. It was the XANGO Summer party and there was dinner before and some games for the kids. Eli had a blast.

Classic Fun Center

We have had way to much fun at this place lately. I know that this place is totally run down and actually pretty ghetto, But I have to tell you, the price is way reasonable, it is the perfect size for the age of my boys, there are LOTS of options of things to do, and we have a TON of fun every time that we go. The water park has been a favorite. I think that they just recently redid some things to fix it up because it really isn't in that bad of condition. Just older for sure.

Once he got really confident on the slides.... WOW, then he really started to have fun. Going sideways, backwards, doing front flips. One thing I know for sure about this little guy is that when he decides he is okay with something, or when he decides that it is his choice to do something, then there is no stopping him and he will figure it out, learn it, and accomplish it, quicker then ever.
This was his favorite slide... and to think, Lara had to basically throw him down it the first time.

As you can see.... the swimming lessons (yes i know, I have not posted about them yet) but the swimming lessons really really really paid off, He is so much more confident in the water and he actually swims under the water a lot now.

Randomness and The 24th of July

We spent the 24th of July at Matt's Parents house. It was very fun. We had good food, good company, and WAY to many fireworks. But honestly, is that even really possible. It was great.
Eli thinks that fire works are the greatest thing ever. He had lots of fun this year. His dad even let him light a few this year.

Hatch Family Barbaque

So I come from a very large family. I married into a large family... SORT OF... He actually comes from only family of three, but when his mom remarried and his step dad has a few, and well, family is family if you ask me and now he has a kind of big one two, which I love by the way. It is what I am use to and I like having people around. So anyway, back to the happenings of this barbeque. It was at Grandma Lueens house. I could stop right here and go on and on about how much I love this lady, and how amazing I think she is, but I think I will wait on that post. But any who, every year we have a barbeque with her and her children. Which would be Matt's step dad, Randys kids and brothers and sisters. It is always so much fun and I seriously love hanging out with this group. They are very real and fun loving.

You will see from the pictures that being silly and spontaneous is not unusual for us.

So I don't really have a ton to say about all these pictures. It is a total picture overload, but there were just so many cute ones to share. We went to Moab on the Anderson Family vacation and we did a little River Rafting, A lot of Jeeping, and A bit of Hiking. So we were super busy, but had a super fun time. One the way home, Matt and I stopped by at this little park for the boys to stretch there legs and play a bit. They were being so funny at the playground.

We had the best 4th of July weekend. We spent it in Delta, of course. This holiday is one that Delta does very well. So of course, once again, our pictures are backwards and a bit out of order, but I will explain as we go.

The first few pictures are of Eli cleaning his fish. At the park they have a big tank set up with some fish in it that the kids can get into by age group and catch a fish with their hands. Eli was a little scared at first, but he definitely did warm up to the idea, then he thought it was awesome.

Can I just tell all the blogging world just how much I love the AMERICAN FORK LIBRARY? They are amazing and they always have the funniest things going on. So a week or so ago for storytime, they had the Firetrucks come and turn the sprinklers on for the kids to run through. They also got to have a tour of an ambulance. Take some pictures with the firetrucks and firefighters (which Eli was not digging at all) Got to work on this one, because I don't want him to be afraid of them. But this particular trip he was. Anyway, the boys had so much fun with all of this. And I got some really cute pictures of them. We were lucky enough to have Heather and Corbin come hang out with us and play on the trucks as well.
