A fun week with the GIRLS

Back in June, we were lucky enough to keep the Pratt girls for the week while their parents took a vacation to Hawaii. It was a really great week that went way to fast. The boys and a blast and ask frequently when the girls get to come back and have a sleepover again. Here are just a few highlights of the fun week that we had.

The colors turned out so crisp this time. The bottles actually turned out really cool.

One evening we went to Trafalga and played a little mini golf, lazer tag, and had a little fun on the splash boats.

Then Eli had to go show Haley up on the rock wall. Yes that is my five year old competing with his 12 year old cousin. And he keep up just fine with her. Look how high that is. This kid has no fears when it comes to climbing.

Another day we went to the zoo. The kids always love the zoo. And the Pratt girls had not been there for a few years. So they got to see many different additions to the zoo that where not there last time.

We had many fun evenings spent playing on the tramp. Different games, different attacks and wrestling. It was so much fun having them here and we did so many things.

Another day we went to 7 peaks. Always a fun time when you hit a water park.

We tuckered Ethan out. He was so done by mid afternoon. He had to catch a few ZZZZZZZZ's before he could go on.

All in all we had a really fun week and we loved having the girls here.

Splash Pad Fun

I thought I had a few more pictures from the splash pad, but apparently not any really good ones. So here are just a few cute pictures of us having a little fun at the splash pad.

As you can see, Eli is armed and loaded with all his many water guns ready to take down his brother.

Bridal Veil Falls

One of our most favorite Sunday afternoon activities to do as a family is to go up Provo canyon. We go to Vivian Park and do a little fishing and then afterwards we go to Bridal Veil falls and do a little splashing. We always have so much fun and the boys are just so silly when we are just playing up the canyon.

I don't know what it is but in this particular picture he looks so grown up. I love it. His perfect smile and his cute little hat.

This is such a cute picture of this little boy. He is so smiley and he loves climbing on rocks and he loves even more playing in water.

Not sure what is going on with cute face, but he always makes me smile.

Look mom, I can go SOOOO low without getting my bum wet. Or at least that is what I want you to think mom.

Okay, forget it. Im going to get my bum, and all the rest of me wet. Nothing better then this.

I sure do love my boys.

First time doing Coach Pitch

We have done Tball, but this is his first time doing Coach Pitch. He did really well with it and he enjoyed it a great deal. He still secretly tells me that he loves soccer more because he always gets to do something. He says Baseball is to slow and you have to wait around a lot for the ball to come to you. Who knows if baseball will be his thing. Right now where are just enjoying learning about a few new sports.

Mountain Man Rendevouz

So my husband has this very dear friend that was more of a dad to him when he was younger. Matt has a great deal of respect for him and also looks up to him a great deal. Matt has learned many things through the years from Rex and for this I am very grateful to this man. One of the many traditions that Rex and Matt use to do together was to attend a Mountain Man Rendezvous  in Logan Ut. Well Matt had not been for almost 10 years, basically since we had been married, but before that it use to be a summer event. So Matt asked Rex if he could bring his family and come on up and join the fun. Rex was more then happy to oblige. I do believe this will become a new family tradition of our own little family. The boys had so much fun and Rex and his brother where the best hosts ever. I can see why Matt enjoyed getting to know this man so much when he was younger.

They had many crafts and things for the kids to do. This was probably Eli's favorite part, next to sleeping in the awesome TeePee.

Heather and her family came up the second day. Ethan had already fallen asleep for a nap, but once Gavin also went down for a nap, we laid him down to nap next to Ethan.

This was what our whole camp looked like. Rex has been doing this for many many years and he was very well equipped to make it a very fun experience.

This is Rex's Tee Pee that he so graciously offered to my little family. Mostly for the experience of sleeping in a real canvas Tee Pee. The boys that it was very awesome. Matt has pictures of when he was about the same age sleeping in this very same Tee Pee. I sure wish I knew where those pictures where. It would be fun to compare.

Ethan was so funny on this trip. I don't know if it was because we were outside and camping. Or if we were with new friends. I'm not sure what it was but he was just being funny.

This is Rex. Well Rex and his Banjo. It was so much fun to listen to him play and sing. And he did both a great deal at night.

Again with the Ethan being silly thing. Honestly, I don't know what was going on with him. He was just being cute and silly.

The boys were in seventh heaven when mom just let them get dirty and play in the dirt. And did they ever play, for like an hour probably. And they were super content. And super happy.
