I Cant believe he is Three!!!
Really I am quite baffled by the fact that I am even doing this post. There is no way that my little boy is now Three years old. I swear he was just born yesterday. And not only is he Three, but he is the smartest little Three year old I know.... and I know quite a lot of children. We had about the coolest little SUPER HERO PARTY that you ever would imagine. I do think that Eli absolutely loved it and he was surrounded by lots of his friends and family which made it all the better. I can't even begin to say THANK YOU to everybody for all the help and support that I had that made this day that much more special for him. He is one loved kid. So I am going to do a post in a day or so that shows him growing up and all about him and what is into at the moment, but this post is mostly just to document the killer birthday party.
All I can say is that I love my husbands family to death. They are the most supportive and loving family you will ever find, and when it comes to Eli.... well, as you can see from the picture above, they would do pretty much anything for him. Heather.... I LOVE YOU..... dressed up as a super hero to go along with the theme of the party. Eli thought it was the best thing ever. She fit in great and I know it means a lot to Eli that she did.
This is all of Eli's little friends that came to the party. From Left to Right...... Liam (Buzz) Guymon, Korbin (Batman) Fegley, Rylan Green, John Parsons, Brindalyn Green, ELi (spiderman) May, Caitlyn (Jasmine) Guymon, and Tommy Nielsen.
So, my Pizza's were taking just a weeeeee bit longer then planned to finish cooking. So Heather, being my Super Hero, stepped in and helped me to entertain the kids by doing songs with them. They did Head Shoulder Knees and Toes, and then they did some Super Hero stretches. She was a live saver. Thanks again Heather. I would have been lost without you and the kids absolutely loved it.
The kids singing Eyes, Ears, Mouth and Nose.
The kids gathering up the candy after the broke the piñata using their Hulk like strength. Yes friends, I realize that this looks like and abundant amount of candy, but honestly, it was only one bag of candy. It just went a lot farther then I had expected it too.
Note to self.... Piñatas for Three year olds is not such a perfect thing. They are just Not quite strong enough yet to actually make the thing break open. Uncle Justin and to help them out with a swing or to to get the ball rolling, but I still think they had lots of fun trying to break it open.
This little game turned out better then I thought it was going to. I had purchased some sticky hands and then placed little pictures of super villains all over the carpet. The kids had to practice there spider man skills by using their sticky webs to catch all of the super villains. They thought this was really funny and it was actually pretty entertaining to watch as well.
All the kids got to decorate their own super hero cape. This was the finished product. I think they actually turned out really well and I think that they had lots of fun making them.
Rylan was having a blast teasing Ethan. And Ethan was even having more fun just playing with these balloons.
Justin, of course wanting to out do his sister in being about the coolest super hero created, showed up in this amazing super hero outfit. Once again, Eli was super excited about it and I was loving taking pictures of all the serious creativity that he put into this outfit. Once again, I just have to say how much I love my In-laws, they just make everything better. They were such a huge help and support when it comes,... to well.... pretty much everything.
A closer shot of Eli and his cake. Happy Birthday son. I hope that you had a good birthday and always remember how much your dad and I love you. And remember always how super proud we are of you. You are only Three and already you make pretty awesome decisions and we can already see that you are going to be one amazing person when you get older.
Okay, so about this cake,... Folks... never again. All you people out there who enjoy decorating cakes... What is wrong with you? No, that is not true, I actually had a lot of fun, it just took way longer then I expected and was actually a bit more complicated then I thought it was going to be. I couldn't have done it without my loving patient husband who is willing to stay up late and support my craziness of having to create my children's birthday cakes instead of just running out and buying one. The cake was a pain, a headache, and honestly was not worth my time.... but then once I say Eli's face and how excited he was about his super cool Buzz cake, it was all worth all the headache and frustrations that came with this cake, suddenly didn't really seem to matter much anymore.

Happy Halloween
Halloween is also my wonderful Husbands birthday. So first things first I would like to give a big Shout out to my wonderful Husband and wish him a Happy Birthday. I hope that you had a good birthday. We spent the day out to Matt's family house doing all sorts of fun things. We started the day carving pumpkins and playing the game (which I think has become a fun family tradition) of the doughnut on the string. Eli thinks this game is so funny. I hope I can get the video to work. He had lots of help trying to play, but when he was doing it himself, it was super cute.
Eli waiting ever so patiently for the people to answer the door. He has to be about the cutest little trick-or-treater ever.
Eli and his adorable friend John trick-or-treating. Eli was so much fun this year. He has this trick-or-treating thing mastered.
Matt and I always try to dress up for Halloween. I know, we are a little old but Matt really loves Halloween so we always make it a big deal. Our costumes are typically thrown together last minute and usually not to complicated. But I think this years were pretty cute. THANKS HEATHER FOR THE AWESOME IDEA.
Eli showing off his adorable Spider-man Costume. We really wanted to be a Ninja Turtle, but we couldn't find one his size and I really didn't' love the mask on his face, and either did he. But Spider-man was definitely a super good choice. He loved it.
This is Lara's cool pumpkin. I have to say, I think she did a pretty good job with her pumpkin. Even with the squiqly mouth, she did a really good job.
This is Eli and Daddy's. This is the one that Eli picked out and is daddy was ever so paitent helping him carve it. I think Matt secretly did a really good share of it, but as you will see in video shortly, Eli had his own way of helping. LOL
My adorable LGM. Eli just loved saying that all night. "Ethan is an LGM" "a what Eli?" "an LGM"..... Oh, thanks for telling us Eli.
The whole family clan. Lara was a super cute cheerleader. It was just super cold so she had to wear some warmer sweats underneath so she didn't freeze. I love how we put DHS on her green outfit. I feel like such a traitor.
Earlier in the day we went to Randall's hockey game. Eli thought this was pretty cool. Ethan was just there. I know, who has a Hockey game on Halloween, but it was actually good. It gave us something to do right in the middle of the day.
All the kids playing the doughnut on a string game. They sure do love this game. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for starting such a fun tradition. The kids sure do look forward to this.
Yes folks, I absolutely love this picture. Ethan is actually sitting down in the pumpkin. Thank you Grandpa Randy for carving this large pumpkin out for me. Even if it was for nothing more then an adorable picture. The pumpkin was very lopsided so I don't think that Grandpa even ended up carving it in the end. I think he did it just for the picture.... AND I REALLY DO APPRECIATE IT, because seriously, how can you not love this cute picture?
This is how Eli carved his pumpkin. Should I be worried? Nah, he did eventually figure it out, but I thought this picture was so funny. He looked like a serious pumpkin killer.
The human pumpkin boy. I love how my son is so good to humor me in all the crazy pictures that I take of him. He is just so cute though.
Ethan was just loving life, being out side and watching everybody carve their pumpkins. He was so happy and he just sat their and played with this half carved pumpkin. He thought it was great to stick his hands in it and roll it around on the high chair.
